Oh, my gods.

I regret everything.

After Travis walked me back to my cabin, I closed the door and ran into my room.  I threw myself onto my bed and started to sob. This attracted the attention of my siblings and soon my whole cabin was standing in my room. They didn't say anything, they just stood there. Finally, Miranda stepped forward.

"Did-did he say no?"

I rolled onto my back so I could look at her.

"No, worse, he said yes. He told me he had wanted to ask me out for seven years. SEVEN!!"

I went back to sobbing into my pillow.

My siblings started to whisper among themselves but then Miranda spoke up again.

"So why is that a bad thing?"

I stood up and walked until I was right in front of Miranda.

I took a deep breath and then screamed.

"BECAUSE BREAKING UP WITH HIM AFTER THIS STUPID DARE IS OVER WILL COMPLETELY RUIN OUR FRIENDSHIP! HE WILL BE HEARTBROKEN! I DON'T WANT THAT! I-I don't want that. He deserves so much better, after all, he's gone through."

I sat down and started to cry again.

Miranda sat down next to me and started to rub my back.

"Hey, it's okay, you don't have to break up with him."

I raised my head and shot daggers at her.

"I don't like him, Miranda, I don't care what you say. He is just a friend to me. This is all your guys' faults."

Miranda looked at me, and then looked at the crowd of our siblings.

"Let give Katie some space."

They all left, even Miranda. I was fine with that, I just wanted to be alone. I wept for hours until my tear ducts were dry. I laid back down on my bed, too tired to change my clothes, and I fell asleep.

                                                                                      ..........................

Instantly, I was hit with a horrible nightmare.

I saw myself standing on top of Half-Blood Hill and saw thousands of monsters gathered at the base. Next to me were Percy, Leo, Nico, and other campers. I yelled a battle cry and we charged. The monsters outnumbered us, but we seemed to be winning. At one point, Travis appeared at my side. He smiled and waved. I smiled back.

We fought side-by-side for a while, working like a well-oiled machine when I heard a scream. I looked over and saw Conner get mauled by a hellhound. He seemed to be alright but the hellhound was closing in for the kill. Travis took off towards his brother. I had a really bad feeling about this. I heard my mother's words, "Keep that Hermes kid close." I screamed for Travis to come back, that that wasn't the real Conner.

I was too late.

The fake Conner morphed into a hideous creature, it leaped and ripped Travis's heart out. I screamed Travis's name, over and over, but his body went slack and he collapsed to the ground.

                                                                               ......................................

I woke up in a cold sweat. I looked around and saw I was still in my bed, in my cabin, safe and sound. I tried to convince myself that it was just a dream and that there was nothing to worry about, but I couldn't shake the feeling of fear.
