Chapter 01: Weird
I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before finally getting up. I didn't know what I've dreamed of but I'm pretty sure that I used a lot of energy while I was asleep.
I looked at the mirror in my vanity table and saw how pale my face was. Bullets of sweat were dripping down to my face. I wiped the sweat in my neck using the back of my hand, felt how cold my skin was.
I wetted my lips and took a last look at the mirror.
I parted the curtains of my sliding door as well as the blinds of my windows. Sunlight welcomed my morning face. I slightly closed my eyes, avoiding the brightness that attacked my sight.
When my eyes have finally adjusted in the sunlight, I immediately saw the weird guy from the house across ours. He's still on the spot where I saw him last night, now wearing a black shirt. He's holding a cup of coffee in his left hand, leaning on the railings.
He's seriously observing the road. I opened the sliding doors of my room which created a bit of scandalous sound. That made him look at my direction, serious face turned into a goofy one.
"Hi, Natsumi! Good morning." His voice was a bit husky and it sounded so manly. I couldn't remember his voice last night but I'm pretty sure it didn't sound like that. Or it's still the same? Whatever.
And, I couldn't remember giving my name to him. How did he know?
"I'm Haru! In case you forgot!" he continued, sounded as if we're close.
Pinagmasdan ko ang hitsura niya. I can say that he's handsome but I can't change the fact that he has this kind of... aura. He looks weird in a different way. And that different way I couldn't point out makes him weirder in my eyes. Or is it just me? Well, I really think he's weird. A bit creepy and... annoying.
He doesn't really look like friendly. His smile grew wider... then he winked.
Napaka-inappropriate ng pagkindat niya. Nakakakilabot. Inirapan ko na lang siya at tinalikuran. I could feel that his eyes were following my back. Binilisan ko ang lakad papalabas ng kwarto.
I almost bumped into Seika. She opened her eyes lazily then murmured an apology.
I just shrugged my shoulders and went to the kitchen sink, washed my face and gargled. I heard Papa chuckled.
I was never really a breakfast person.
