Chapter 2- 𝔦𝔱'𝔰 𝔞𝔩𝔩 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔢

It's been a day now and I still couldn't stop thinking about the guy I met at the club. "Y/N, I have a meeting at 1pm, can you take it for me?" My mom asked.

"You're just gonna give them a brief about our new project, there's an emergency I need to take care of" my mom said.

I help out in my mom and Donna's business, my part I'm the company isn't that stressful so I do have a lot of free time.

"Can't Donna take it instead?" I asked since I wasn't in the mood to do work although I have a meeting with an investor at 1:30.

I realized that could be a great excuse, "actually I have a meeting with an investor at 1:30" I said.
"Can't you reschedule it?" My mom asked.

"Mom this is the investor you've been wanting and I had a hard time to squeeze into his schedule" I said and she nodded.

"I'll figure it out" my mom said as she kissed my forehead before she left for work. "You haven't been in the mood after you got back from the night you didn't sleep here" Gaonha said.

"You know what, I should get changed" I said as I got up and walked to my room.

I got to my office and it was just about to have the meeting started, I told my secretary, Sandra, to call the investor.

We aren't in the meeting room, this is technically a one on one discussion.

The door opened so I decided to stand up to greet him, "Mr. Williams it's ni— YOU?!?!" I was shocked with whom I saw standing in the doorway.

"You're Mr. Williams???" I asked and he nodded with a grin. "Is that how you greet your investors Ms. Anderson?" He asked as he took a seat.

I was speechless and took a seat, it took awhile before I got back my composure to talk to him about the project he is investing in.

We finished everything and it was a success, he was about to leave the office when he turned around, "did you forget something?" I asked.

"I forgot to ask you out" He said and my jaw dropped with his sudden frankness. "I'm just kidding" he said as he chuckled.

"I just wanna invite you to dinner at my place" He said "what makes you think I'm going?" I asked, "you might wanna see what's behind the door" He said.

"Bodies of people you've killed? And I'm the next one you're killing" I said as a joke, "I could kill you with pleasure" he said before he walked out.

Somehow I feel annoyed with his presence but I also find it fun to have him around.

        

I dropped by the house first to change and freshen up. As I was retouching my makeup, I noticed my pictures with Maihua in my room.

Memories started playing in my head and it shattered my heart again to remember where I ended up.

I called a maid and told her to take all of our pictures out of my room and keep it somewhere I won't see it.

"What is this?" Gaonha asked as she leaned on my door watching the maid bring a box out of my room.

"I don't think it's good for me to have things that remind me of Maihua" I answered, "are you not even gonna look for her? Did you even check the house she bought for you guys? Are you not even interested on finding out why she left?" Gaonha asked.

"Gaonha I'm tired of all this and it won't help if I continue to go crazy looking for her, it's hard to find someone who doesn't want to be found" I said and Gaonha just nodded before she walked away.

       

Before going to Mr.Williams' house I decided to check on the house that Maihua bought us, what Gaonha said did get me thinking.

I entered and it's just dark, the furniture are all covered up but I still remember the day she brought me here, the day she proposed to me.

Maybe moving on is really the best thing to do now. What me and Maihua had, was that really love?

All I have now is a broken heart, leftover memories and this house filled with dust. In short our love is all gone, there's not a piece of it that I could see anywhere.

I decided to go now as I started getting emotional, it didn't take long to get to Mr. Williams' place.

"I thought you'd never come" he said as he opened the door, "I thought so too" I answered as I entered and looked around.

He lead me to the dining table and pulled out a chair for me to sit in. "Mr. Williams what exactly do you want from me that you needed to invite me over for dinner?" I asked.

"Just call me Chris will you?" He said, "we're not in the office" he added. "Fine, Chris" I started, "did you actually know who I am when you walked up to me that night in the club?" I asked.

"Maybe" he answered with a grin, this is unbelievable and we even had sex?? "You don't have to see me as a threat" He spoke up.

"I don't" I answered, "so I can call you my friend?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. "Let's go" he said as he stood up.

"Where?" I asked, "to the room" he answered and walked away, I stood up quickly to follow him, I really wanna know what's in there, curiosity always gets the best of me.

He opened the door revealing a big room and it's honestly far from what I expected, "why do you have a playroom?" I asked.

"Wanna look around?" He asked as he entered, I walked in and started looking around seeing different toys.

I'm starting to question who really is this man that I met. "Collars" I whispered to myself as I carefully touched them.

Glad to know that you aren't new to these things" Chris spoke up. "Why did you show me this?" I asked.

You seemed curious" He answered, "so you're into these?" I asked and he nodded, "remember the story I told you when we met at the club?" He asked.

So she's your submissive?"I asked and he nodded again. "I should get going" I said since I felt like I shouldn't be here.

He stopped me and pulled me closer to him, "Chris" I spoke up before he could kiss me. "I can't do this" I said remembering Maihua.

"If we did it before, we can do it again"
