Chapter 8- 𝔦 𝔰𝔢𝔢 𝔱𝔴𝔬 𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔢𝔰

"Where you goin?" Gaonha asked as I was about to leave the house, I moved in with them again ever since Chris left.

It's too much if I would stay in Chris' house after I moaned Maihua's name.

"I have a meeting" I answered.

"I thought we're going to go Chris hunting"

"Well you can meet me in my office later after my meeting" I said and smiled before I left.

I wanted to cancel this meeting but then Sandra told me that the client can't reschedule.

As soon as I got there I saw Sandra's stressed face, "why do you look like that?" I asked and she looked nervous to tell me.

"You're client canceled the meeting"

"Yeah of course, totally expected that" I sarcastically said before I entered my office.

I've been feeling tired more often and looking for Chris has given me a huge headache.

"Hey I brought lunch" Gaonha said as she entered my office"

"How'd you know that my meeting was canceled and how'd you get here so fast?"

"Magic" Gaonha answered and I rolled my eyes

"Anyways to cheer you up, I have.... well it's not much but I brought salad" Gaonha said as she placed a paper bag in front of me

"I'd rather just eat chocolates" I said because I'm really not in the mood to actually eat.

"You've been very cranky lately"

"This whole Maihua, Alex situation and Chris is gone is stressing me out"

"So, do you have any suggestions on how to find Chris?" Gaonha asked.

"To be honest I don't know but probably going to his parents would be a great idea" I answered.

"You're gonna text or email them?"

"No I'm going to them"

"You realize they live in London"

"Yes I know" I said. I mean if it's the only way to know where Chris is. I know his parents won't look at their emails and they don't know my phone number so going to them personally would be a better idea.

"You have to stay here" Gaonha said, "Having Alex around our family you can't leave or you might lose Maihua too" Gaonha added.

She has a point, I'm not leaving until they get divorced.

"You know what why don't we go home and relax" I said as I stood up.

"Wait are you serious? Are we not even gonna eat what I brought?"

"No offense but I want something heavy to eat and let's go, I'm having cramps" I said and went out of the office.

"So you're gonna lay here and wait for a miracle to happen?" Gaonha asked which made me sit up on the bed.

"What do you mean?"

"Maihua and Alex won't get divorced miraculously"

"Just let me rest" I said as I laid on the bed again.

We received a knock on the door and it was Donna, "it's dinner time"

I lazily stood up and followed Gaonha and Donna to the dining room.

"How was work?" I asked my mom as I sat down.

"Tiring" she answered.

"Where's Maihua?" Gaonha asked, "She's with Alex" Donna answered.

"What is she doing there?" I asked as I took a small bite from my food.

"She's trying to convince Alex to you know get an annulment" Donna said but I really wasn't paying attention to what she said because I felt an unusual pain in my stomach or something.

"Y/N?"

I quickly stood up not responding to my mom and ran to the kitchen sink because I felt like throwing up.

Gaonha followed behind me "are you okay?" She asked.

I wiped my mouth with a napkin and drank from the glass of water Gaonha gave me.

"Y/N what happened?" My mom asked as she and Donna got here.

"She threw up" Gaonha answered for me.

"You know what, you should take a test" Donna said that made my eyes widen.

"What test? You think my daughter is pregnant??"

"She threw up" Donna said.

"You're crazy" my mom said in response.

"Just to make sure you know"

"Fine, Gaonha can you buy some" my mom ordered Gaonha but she went to the drawer instead.

"We have them here" Gaonha said as she handed the tests to me.

After 3 or 4 minutes of waiting, my mom looked at the results.

"I see two lines" my mom said

"Yeah that means she's pregnant" Gaonha said.

"Then we should celebrate" Donna said as she quickly walked out of the kitchen.

"I don't think we should actually celebrate"

"Why not Y/N? I'm sure you'd be a great mom" my mom said.

"But mom I have a girlfriend that is married to someone else, I should be worried about that but now I can't because I have to take care of this baby"

"Who is the father?" Gaonha asked.

"Gaonha, I've only had sex with one guy"

"How are you gonna tell Maihua this?" My mom asked.

I don't know what to do anymore, what if Maihua changes her mind about having an annulment with Alex if she finds out I'm pregnant?

I should be helping Maihua with her annulment but now I have to take care of myself and this baby. Do I actually tell Maihua? What if she can't accept me if I have a baby??

Most importantly this is Chris' baby and I haven't even found him.
