LORIEL'S POV
~flashback~

"Ugh... My head hurts." I whimpered.

I woke up from my slumber and found myself sitting up from the park bench. I can't remember why I fell asleep at such place, but didn't mind it anyway since I looked fine; certainly unharmed.

A white cat slowly walked toward me, but stopped on it's tracks before it even reached my feet. Those eyes creeped me out because it was looking straight at me. I tried shooing it away, but the cat didn't budge and continued staring, so I gave up trying.

I looked up the sky and close my eyes, breathing in slowly and enjoyed the warmth of the sun as it basked upon my skin. I got surprised but the sudden weight on my lap, making me jolt upon my seat. Eyes open wide, I saw that it was that cat that had been staring at me, this time it situated itself on my lap.

"Yahhhh~" I whined. "Seriously, what are you doing?" I asked the cat. I tried petting it and surprisingly it purred upon my touch, obviously liking the slight affection. "Eh. You're cute anyways, so I'll let it go you furball." I giggled lightly, petting it more.

I enjoyed a bit of time with that cat and even played with it, but then thought that I must head back home. I crouched down and pet its head and spoke softly. "Sorry furball, I have to go home." I smiled softly and started to walk away, but there was a light tugging at my shoe laces, seeing that it was the white cat. I chuckled as it tries to tug harder, but it was just too little to even move my from my place.

And so, I picked it up and looked at it in the eye, surprisingly it was doing the same. "Look, I have to go, okay? But I promise I'll come back from time to time to play with you." I said. It seemed to understand what I just said when it let out a cute 'meow'. I placed it down and waved it goodbye.

I was walking backwards because I was to busy checking on the little fella, making sure it will not run after me. I smiled at the sight as the cat stayed at it's place, but its eyes is still focused on me. While doing so I suddenly heard a shout.

"MISS! WATCH OUT!"

I turned back and saw that I was an inch away from a man walking, my eyes automatically closed waiting for the impact. But it didn't came. Confused, I looked around and saw that the man just passed my way, that irked me off so I go after him, pissed.

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL?! DIDN'T YOU SEE ME? YOU DIDN'T EVEN SAY SORRY! YA--"

When I reached put my hand to make him turn towards me, it was as if time stopped when my hand just went through his body.

"Wha-What the--" My blood ran cold at the sight. I tried it again, but then it was the same. My hand still went through the man's body. My eyes teared up at what is happening. I ran and went in front of the man, eyes open, and screamed at his face, trying to make him see me. This time his whole body went through me as if I was nothing but thin air. It's real. I saw it happening with my own eyes.

I fell on my knees. I was sobbing out loud by now. My head is spinning as I think of what the hell just happened. My whole body is shaking in fear.

"Wa-Why?! Why is this ha-happening?! Please! SOMEBODY!!! HELP ME!" I cried out.

A few people walked by, but none of them saw, nor hear my pitiful pleas. I felt like hyperventelating. I started pinching and slapping myself. I felt the pain, but how I wish this was just a dream. I hugged my knees and wailed.

Later on, I felt tired. My throat is already scratched from shouting, my eyes might be looking bloodshot from crying. Still in shock, yet too tired to do anything, I just found myself staring at the floor before me, numb. But then, a pair of feet appeared from my line of sight. I slowly looked up at the person infront of me, and saw him staring straight at me. What???

I was too dumbfounded to do anything, but I can't seem to stop looking at his blank facial expression, definitely opposite to my own.

"Wa-Wait. Yo-You can see me?!" I choked out with my ragged voice.

He raised an eyebrow and sighed. "Of course." He replied. "I was the one who told you to watch out." He added. I stood up from the floor and held his shoulders. He flinched and pulled away from my touch. "Don't touch me." He said softly.

"WAIT I CAN TOUCH YOU!" I told him, with the hint of excitement in my voice.

"Well, obviously." He shrugged. " Because I'm dead too." He said. My heart stopped at his words. I got an idea that I might be, but hearing that I really am was a huge blow to the gut. I was speechless. The guy was looking at the sudden changes of emotions I was in and sighed.

"Look, I wanted to tell you. But, you looked happy playing with that cat so I leave you be. Besides, I already knew you we're dead with one look. It must have been nice to be able to touch something." He spoke softly. "But I didn't expect that you still do not know that you're dead." He added. I was trying to process what he just told me, but these are the only words that came out of my mouth.

"Did you know how you died?" I asked in an almost unaudible voice. This brought a readable expression on his face. Surely enough, he was suprised by this question.

"Sadly, no." He muttered. His face turned into a hollow expression. I calmed myself and said, "me, neither."

It's true. He didn't remember, neither did I. We just looked at each other in complete silence. It was a comfortable silence. We need no words, but we share the same understanding of our situation. That's enough for now.

And for the first time he smiled; a cute gummy smile.

"Nice to meet you 'Gone girl'. My name's Yoongi." He chuckled. I giggled at how ironic his words are.

"Nice to meet you too 'Gone boy'. I'm Loriel."
