Aurora
Two o'clock in the morning. I wake up startled, I have had a nightmare, in which my mother appeared. I remember her and start crying, letting myself be carried away by my feelings.
I hear the door open, and Sherlock appears in the dark.
"Are you okay? I heard you scream." He comes up to me and sits on the edge of the bed. He hugs me and strokes my hair. "I'm here, it's over, it's over. Shht ... It's okay." I feel very comfortable, he has calmed me down a lot.
"Can you sleep with me?" We both look at each other and he nods. I have stopped crying, but I am still sobbing. Sherlock lays me on the bed and then he lies down next to me.
I think Sherlock is becoming a very good father. Now I have great affection for him and have just met him. I have felt better than ever at his side.
Sherlock
I have felt very bad for Aurora. She is having a really hard time, and I must be a good father, so I am doing my best to help her.
I get out of bed without making much noise, Aurora is sleeping soundly and I don't want to wake her up. John is having breakfast with Rosie.
"You haven't slept on the couch." John wipes the food stain from Rosie's sweater.
"No, she had a nightmare and I fell asleep next to her. She asked me to." John has a smile on his face.
"Wow, you have changed." I look at John strangely.
"Have I changed so much? I'm just doing the right thing." I pour myself a cup of tea and pick up today's newspaper.
"I know you won't be like this all the time. I know you." John looks at the clock and snorts. "I go to work. Rosie, come on, I'll take you to school. Say goodbye to Sherlock."
"Have a nice day." Rosie gives me a hug and smiles, then they leave.
Aurora appears in the kitchen with wild hair and red eyes. It was not a good night.
"Good morning," she says, sitting down in John's chair.
"Good morning, Sherlock, Aurora. Coffee, dear, right?" Mrs. Hudson comes quickly and brings Aurora's coffee.
"Today we are going to enroll you in school. Later we will take a walk in the park, if you want."
"Okay." Aurora puts her hands on her head, like it hurts.
"It hurts?"
"I've been migraine for days. I don't know what's wrong with me."
"I don't know if this medication will work for you. I use it for hip pain." Mrs. Hudson shows some big white pills.
"No, it's not good for a headache. I'll buy mediation at the pharmacy." I get up from my chair and give Aurora a glass of water. "Take a shower and we'll go to school."
Aurora
I don't know what is happening to me. The nightmare last night left me with a very bad body, but Sherlock helped me a lot by staying by my side. Everything reminds me of my mother. Although life with her was not very good, I loved and appreciated her. I was constantly angry with her about my father, but now I regret that.
I take off my pijama and go into the shower. I spend a lot of time in the shower, the water relaxes me a lot and makes me think more clearly. Then I go out, put on a bathrobe and dry my hair. When I'm completely dry, I put on my favorite blue dress and put on my shoes. I put my hair up in a bun and leave the bathroom.
"You have arranged yourself a lot to go for a walk. You look a lot like your mother in that." Sherlock smiles and puts on his long jacket, and I put mine on. It is true.
We said goodbye to Mrs. Hudson and went outside. The school is very close to Baker Street.
"Rosie is going to this school?" I ask as we walk.
"Yes. She is in the younger class." Sherlock points to the entrance to the school and we enter. I notice a boy who smiles from the stairs. I smile back, and Sherlock realizes the gesture.
"You are the famous detective Sherlock Holmes! I really like your blog." A middle-aged redhead lady greets us. Wait, said Sherlock's Blog? John is the blog writer, I think so.
"Thank you. We are here to enroll my daughter Aurora." The lady's expression is really funny. She is surprised, she didn't know that Sherlock had a daughter.
"Umh, alright. This way, please," Sherlock and I chuckled. We arrived at a small but beautiful room, it is the director's office. The lady sits down and picks up some sheets of paper and a pen.
"Let's see ... Aurora, how old are you?"
"Isn't that obvious?" The lady is quiet at Sherlock's unabashed response, so I nudge sneaky him so he realizes that has been wrong.
"Ten. I haven't been to school before, but they have taught me at home. The doctors tested me to see what my intelligence level is, and I passed a person's normal point. 170." Sherlock smiles at the comment I have made.
"Not bad at all," he whispers to me.
"Mmm okay. So we'll have a genius in class, huh?" The lady writes down a few things on a sheet of paper and smiles. "You'll start on Monday, if that's okay. Well, thanks. Sherlock, can you stay a second?" Sherlock looks at me and I nod.
I go outside, where I meet the boy from before.
"Hello. Are you new?" The boy asks me. He is blond with blue eyes, and he is shorter than me.
"Yes. I'm Aurora."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Tom. I hope they put you in my class, and we'll be friends like that." The trembling of his hands indicates that he's nervous. "I have seen that you were accompanied by Mr. Holmes. He is your father?"
"Yes, of course. I think I have to go now, my father is coming."
"Well, here I leave you my phone number, in case you want to continue talking to me. Bye!" He gives me a piece of paper with his number and I put it in my pocket.
"That boy has given you his number, right?" Oh, God.
"Yes. That doesn't mean anything."
"I hope so. You can't have a boyfriend until you're at least forty years old."
"What? That's a lot!" We walk through the park and sit on a bench. "Can I ask you something?"
"Yes."
"Why did they hide that from us? That you had a daughter and that I had a father?"
"To protect us. As you know, I am a detective and there are very dangerous cases. They could have jeopardized the life of John, Rosie and mine. And, of course, yours." I still do not understand very well. "Still, that didn't go well. They should have told us." Sherlock's phone starts ringing. His face emits revulsion, so maybe it is Mycroft.
"Mycroft, I'm still mad at you ... What? Is he still alive? Impossible, he blew his brains out ... How? Okay, now I'm going." Sherlock hangs up and gets very nervous. "We have to go. I'll drop you off at 221c with Mrs. Hudson. We'll go by taxi." Sherlock grabs my arm and we get into the taxi. I'm scared because I don't know what's going on, it seems serious."I'll be fine, don't worry. Now get out of the taxi and go to Mrs. Hudson." The taxi stops on Baker Street. I look worriedly at Sherlock and he nods, saying that everything will be fine. But he only says it to calm me down. I know something is wrong.
I get out of the taxi and a second later the taxi leaves. I sigh and knock on the door. Mrs. Hudson welcomes me.
"Oh, dear. What happened? Where's Sherlock?"
"He's gone. I don't know what's going on, but he was on the phone with Mycroft and something seems to be going wrong. He said something about a man who shot himself or something. That the man couldn't be alive if that happened." Mrs. Hudson looked at me with wide eyes. She put a hand to her mouth and groaned in terror.
