A week later...

Aurora

Today I start school and I am very nervous. These days ago Sherlock and John were very aware of me, as I was improving and dealing with the subject of the psychologist. I really don't like going, as I have a lot to tell about myself, but Sherlock and John make me go. It should also be noted that Sherlock has not left me alone at any time, except to go to the bathroom. He is afraid something will happen to me.

"He won't be like this all the time, really." John hands me a plate of toast and coffee. I love coffee. Does it show I'm an American?

"I hope so," I say, shoving a piece of toast into my mouth.

"Don't talk with food in your mouth" says Sherlock while reading a magazine.

"Sorry, I'm not very British." Sherlock and John laugh. Rosie appears in the kitchen with her pink backpack and her umbrella, which is pink too. She comes to give me a hug and she also gives it to Sherlock. "Let's go to school." I shake Rosie's hand and Sherlock gets up from his chair.

"Not so fast, ladies." Rosie, Sherlock, and I said goodbye to John and went downstairs to go outside.

"It is going to rain" I say, looking at the sky.

"It always rains in England. By the way, everything will be fine."

"Why do you say that?" I ask him.

"Are you a little nervous. Is it about Tom?" We started.

"Mmm, of course not. It's just nerves ... I've never been to a school before, remember." We got to school and Rosie says goodbye with a hug. My hands start to shake, I can't help it.

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine." Sherlock smiles softly.

"Yeah ... yeah, right. I feel like throwing up, but everything is fine." I try to relax and a teacher comes up to me.

"Nice to meet you, Aurora. I'm Emily." She shakes my hand and then greets Sherlock.

"Come on, you can." He gives me a little push to go to the teacher inside the school, and I do.

"You are going to meet new people, but calm, if someone misbehaves with you I will put them in their place." I do not know if that calms me down or makes me more nervous than I am.

I enter the class and everyone watches me. They are all turned to me, looking at me. I smile shyly.

"Introduce yourself, please," says a teacher who is sitting at the end of the room.

"I am Aurora, I am ten years old, and I come from the United States. I am new here." I don't know what else to say, so I sit in the chair next to Tom. He smiles at me. The children keep looking at me. There is a blonde girl who smiles at me and turns around.

"Is it me or does she look like the detective?" I hear one child say to another child in a low tone of voice. Everyone starts talking, whispering.

"Enough, guys. It's been a pleasure meeting you, Aurora. Now, let's move on to the lesson." The atmosphere is a little tense. The teacher begins to write down some things on the board. Maths. Easy for me.

"I hate this teacher," Tom whispers in my ear. I laugh a little silently.

"It's true, she looks like Detective Sherlock" says a girl to a boy. I don't know their names. I am very nervous and my hands start to shake.

...

When classes end, the blonde girl who smiled at me approaches Tom and me, also smiling.

"My name is Emma," she tells me.
