What I think should have happened during the camp scene in the first movie
Branch: And goodnight, Poppy.
Poppy laid flat on her back looking at the stars. She couldn't sleep at all as she as was too worried about her friends. But, there was something else going on in her mind. She takes a secret locket from under her dress, giving as a birthday gift when she was 13.

Poppy opened it to see her father, Peppy and her little sister, Alice and on the other side is her secret crush.......

She couldn't help but smile dreamily at the picture. He's been her secret crush ever since she was 7 years old and never told anyone about it because everyone thinks that her and Creep-I mean Creek are together. Poppy did have a small crush on him, but it didn't mean anything to her. As much as she wants to give her heart to Branch, she has a feeling he would reject her, like he would reject her invitations. But, she knew deep down that he's a sweet & kind-hearted person. She would look at the picture every night, knowing that he was the one for her. Whenever he shows up after singing & dancing, she would secretly get shy & nervous. His bright blue eyes is what she loves about him the most, she gets lost in them in a blink of an eye. It makes her feel so hypnotized just by looking at them. Knowing that he's asleep, she quietly walks over to him and look right in his face. Heat started to appear on her face.
Poppy: *thinks: Even when he's asleep, he's so handsome......But, I gotta do this fast........*
Poppy grips her locket and starts leaning towards him. Without waking him up, she softly kissed him. His lips were soft and smooth. After a few seconds, she pulls away seeing him still asleep.
Poppy: *thinks: Thank god, I didn't wake him up.*
She got up and laid back in the sleeping bag. There was a spark going through her body from the kiss, her cheeks were heating up, her heart was beating faster. It was her first kiss. Poppy looked at his picture, kissed it, and falls asleep smiling.
Poppy: *thinks: I love you, Branch💙*
Little did she know, Branch was actually awake when she kissed him.
