When we got to Dollar General, I practically sprinted into the candy isle.
Do you know where the candy isle is? Of course I do!! I know where they are in every store.
I got a huge dark chocolate bar from the top shelf and went to find the balloons.
Mom was looking at candy. When my mom looks at candy you know she's going to buy some. Especially if she finds 100 Grand Bars.
I didn't really know where the balloons were at though. I just assumed they would be in the party/birthday stuff.
I was right! I grabbed both punch balloons and regular balloons.
As I headed to the cash register I saw my mom doing the same with a handful of different types of candy, fun sized ones of course.
We placed our stuff on the counter for the cashier, Pattie, to scan the items and put them in bags. As she was doing that we chatted politely. We get along with most of the cashiers.
We strolled out to the truck with the bags in our hands. We arrived home fairly quickly because we don't live far from Dollar General.
