Chapter 3

Favian was one of the hybrids. His parents were pure-blooded. Pure-blooded are the ones who are made from only one trait attribute for 2 or more generations. These pure-blooded evolve in their traits quicker than hybrids. One of his parents was purely smart and intelligent. While, the other one would have great combat abilities.

Hybrids are rare to find since, most of them fail. They neither have great strength nor intelligence. So, the organisation only rarely indulges in the practice of mixing both the traits. But, the ones who are successful have greater strength and intelligence than all of them. Favian was one of the latter.

Favian didn't have a big brutish 7 feet tall body as the pure-blooded strength ones. He was 6 feet tall and lean. But, don't mistake him for someone weaker than them. He had exceptionally strong lean muscles. He could fight at his peak for hours without a sweat and he had super quick reflexes. His speed is compared to that of legendary Bruce Lee. If you could remain in the ring for 30 seconds unscathed by him, you would be considered exceptional. He aced most of the martial arts techniques known by them.

He was happy except for something that was off in his mind, that he could finally pass the test and would soon be ready to in the field and fight with real enemies. For Favian, it was the fourth animal. If he had failed this time, he would be removed and no one knew what happened with the ones who got removed.

It was said that those who got removed lived a much harder life. They were told they are training under the best seniors and are the best pool of students for the military and serve them, for they will be rewarded and promoted. Those who were removed were imbeciles and were made for use in some other place that, as told to them did not have the luxuries and facilities they were getting.

The average number of animals killed was alittle more than two per person before they pass the test.
