Aumeha Chronicles: The Expedition

Chapter 5

Favian, 20 now, getting ready for his first mission. He was now allowed to talk with other people but, these were constantly recorded using a wire under his dress. He wore a full white combat suit for the mission and had two cameras, one on the helmet and other on his backpack watching his back and giving the feed on a heads-up glass display. First missions are always observation mission where they observed an area for a few hours and returned.

He walked to the meeting room full of excitement for this was going to be his first mission after all. As soon as he entered it was required that he greeted his fellow mates. There was a bespectacled short heighted guy with brown hair, Alvis. A tall person with good physique and jet black hair, Ethan. Ethan was their senior and the guide for their mission. A girl with short hair and average height, Andrea. And the last one was on whom favian's eyes were stuck. She was none other than Cassini who was 2nd in command. She had done only a mission before and killed it. But, her eyes, there was something about her eyes that captivated Favian and was telling a different story.

With the formal greetings done away with, Ethan started explaining the mission to them. They would be investigating a cave inhabited by a few creatures located in a mountain by their drones. It would only be an observing mission and could speak to any humans if contacted in a limited capacity. Only Ethan was allowed to carry a gun, rest were given close combat weapons of their choice. They were only allowed to use those weapons in self-defence. They were given their roles.

Favian would be carrying cameras, thermal, X-ray and 360 vision, He would also be a lookout person. Alvis would carry the Radio and communication equipment. He would be in constant contact with the base. If they were to approach an area where connection is weak he has to ask the base first whether to continue with the mission. Andrea was the translator of the group. She has knowledge of a few more languages that were taught specifically to the translators only and no one else. Cassini was second in command and would be the leader if ever Ethan is no longer fit to carry out his position which is to be decided by the remaining three members.

Ethan being the leader would be leading the queue from front. Followed by the translator, Andrea. Third would be Favian with his cameras and then Alvin with his radio. Lastly followed by Cassini. If ever they stopped, they would come close in a group. Andrea on Ethan's right and Favian on the left. Alvin would be behind Ethan and Andrea. While, Cassini behind Ethan and Favian.

With this briefing the team was ready to go out and carry out its mission.
