Some Day My Prince Will Come

(Cas's POV)

"So, uh, where do you want to start?" I asked Dean as we walked down the street.

"I don't really know... Hey! Sammy! Stay close!" Dean yelled out to his brother.

"WE DO WHAT WE WANT!" Gabe sassily said to Dean, grabbing Sam's hand.

"Gabby, don't sass your roommate!" I said, purposefully using the nickname he hated.

Dean giggled at this and then said, "C'mon Cas. We'd better, um, go catch up."

"I know just where to go..." I casually slung my arm over Dean's shoulder. Completely platonic, of course.

I yelled up to Gabe. "Hey, Gabby! Take Sam to see the sea monster!" I grinned at Dean. "You'll love this."

"Wow..." Dean breathed as he took in the view of the lake.

"I know."

The lake wasn't a huge one, but it was beautiful. The water was a dark blue-green that complimented the color of the sky. The water was surrounded by tall pines that filled the fall air with their pine-y scent.

"Sam," whispered Gabe, "it's a Novak secret, but I wanna tell you because since you live with us you guys are basically Winchester-Novaks or whatever. But it's a secret that a HUGE sea monster lives in this lake..."

I let out a laugh. Winchester-Novaks? I liked the sound of that.

"Did the monster ever kill anyone? Was it bloody?" Sam asked, jumping up and down.

"Not that I've seen, but there was this old lady..."

"Oh no Gabe, not this one again..." I said rolling my eyes. I could practically recite Gabe's infamous story.

"And the old lady went for a swim to calm her old bones. And she went into the water, the cold water, and she swam. NAKED!" Gabe said with enthusiasm.

"EW!!!" Sam squealed.

"I know! And she swam. Her old lady butt glimmering in the moonlight..."

"EW!!!" Sam squeaked.

"I know! But that's what happened. So there she was, swimming. Until something touched her toe. She thought it was just a rock, but then it bit her toe clean off! And the water turned red! The old lady ran out screaming into the woods, where she died because she tripped over a stick and couldn't get up and then she drowned in her own blood. The end!" Gabe said with a devious little smile.

"Your brother is very... creative." Dean said, through muffled laughter.

"Sammy! Let's play rescue the princess! Dean has to be the princess, because we're the bravest, right Cas?" An excited Gabe said.

Alright, Gabby... Let's see what the twist is...

"Oh, and the winner gets to kiss the princess!" Gabe said, smirking.

There it is... You clever boy...

"Should I like hide?" Dean asked, blushing.

"Yes, m'lady," I bowed low at Dean's feet. "You must hide otherwise the sea monster shall cometh forward and swallow thee." I said in an old English accent.

"Okay. Hide your eyes and no peeking!" Dean ran off into the trees.

"OH AND WATCH OUT FOR THE OLD NAKED DEAD LADY, PRINCESS!" Gabe yelled after him, laughing.

Sam, Gabe, and I put our faces against a tree and listened for Dean's signal.

"HELP! HELP! THE SEA MONSTER IS ATTACKING!!!" A high-pitched voice came from the woods.

I died laughing right then and there. 'Princess Dean' had a hilarious voice.

"I shall rescue you, Dean...um I mean... Princess Dean-a!!!" I charged into the forest.

"No, I'm gonna get there first!" Sam said. "I'm coming for you, my sister!"

"Sorry guys, but I'm better," Gabe said.

We all ran into the woods and looked everywhere but up. Then Dean squealed again.

"HELP! IT APPROACHES!!!"

I giggled, but kept running. Until one of my Converse flew off my foot. I pressed on, wanting to get to Dean first.

Then I came to a tree. It was very tall and I heard rustle from above it. A ladder dropped down.

"Oh my knight!" A high-pitched voice said.

"Dean-a! I have come to rescue you!" I said as heroically as possible.

I climbed up into the tree and saw Dean's white teeth smiling down at me.

"I owe you a kiss, my prince." Dean winked at me.

"No, I owe you one."

I dipped Dean back into a deep kiss. His lips were softer than I thought and they tasted like cupcakes. I almost laughed at his choice in Chapstick, but the kiss was too good to waste.

When we finally parted, I suggested we jump on my noble steed and try to find Sam and Gabe. Dean jumped on my back and we went galloping into the forest.

"Sammy? Gabe?" I called.

"Yeah? Did you kiss your princess?" Gabe asked, giggling.

"Yes," Dean said.

"Why couldn't you wait for us? I wanted to see!" Sam complained.

I laughed. "Let's head home. The sun is already setting."

As we walked through the woods, Dean eased out of the arm I had around him to go get something.

"Dean?"

"For you, my lady." Dean was holding my other scuffed shoe. "Shall I?"

He slipped it onto my foot. I laughed at his terrible prince voice, but I had to admit it was cute.

"Looks like I've found my Cas-erella." Dean said smiling up at me.

"As stupid as that sounded," I kissed his cheek. "It was pretty cute."

And we all walked off into the sunset, ready to face the brave me frontier ahead of us. Not as strangers, but as friends.
