Sorry this update has taken so long, I have been really busy with my other fanfiction '365 days of Cas'
But here is the next chapter, finally, so please Enjoooy x*

(Dean's POV)

The lift dinged as I broke apart from sammy, still staring confusedly at the smirking Gabriel.
I then started towards the opening door, but both Sammy and Gabe stepped in front of me; blocking my path out of the lift.

"Guys...what are you doing?"

Gabe and Sammy shared a nervous glance, before clearing their throats awkwardly.

"Hang on Dean...can we..urrm...can we talk to you...for a second??"

I frowned suspiciously at the two boys, sizing them up before answering

"Okaaaay...?"

Sam looked down and shuffled his feet, while Gabe coughed, looking around as though the ceiling of the lift had suddenly become really fascinating.
They looked like they were doing some very quick thinking.

"Seriously, guys what? Im really tired and I just want to get I the flat"

In reality, I just wanted to corner Castiel so I could talk to him before he locked himself in his bedroom.
I stepped forward again, but this time Gabe forcefully put a hand on my chest to stop me from leaving.

"Gabe!?! Do you guys not want me in the flat?? What are you hiding from me? Are you-are you covering for Castiel??!!"

Gabe gulped, looking worried as he faced the very tall Dean.
Sammy barged quickly forwards so to explain.

"No Dean!! No...we just err...umm"

I saw him lean to the side, muttering quietly out of the corner of his mouth to Gabriel.
It sounded very much like 'shall we tell him?'

Gabe shook his head vigorously, a small smirk playing at he edge of his lips.

"Gabe, Sammy?!! Tell me what!!!??"

Ding

Gabe raised his finger towards me cheekily; the universal signal of 'bare with, bare with'
The ten year old then reached into his back pocket and pulled out the newest iPhone...lucky bastard...he's only ten...

A real smile spread across his chubby face as he read the text he had been sent, before gesturing a sweeping motion to me; signalling that I was free to pass.

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused. But just sighed in exasperation, hitching my glasses up my nose and finally walking out the lift.
Sammy and Gabe quickly followed, practically shoving me through the flat door.

What met my eyes as I walked in was not what I expected at all.

___

The flat was very dark and I had to stand in the doorway for a second, my eyes adjusting to the change of light.
Once I could see again, I looked around the flat and gasped.
I heard little 'oohs' and 'aaahs' behind me; Gabe and Sammy.

There were lit candles everywhere, on the floor in little jars, on the tables and the cupboards sending dim flickering light around the room.
It gave the flat a cosy, warm feel. And sort of romantic...?
One of my favourite songs, Fireflies by Owl City, was playing in the background.
Fairly lights Sammy and I hadn't noticed on our lone tour were strung up on the walls, twinkling and sparkling like stars in the dark night sky. Some more were twisted into larger jars. They looked like fireflies caught on a summers night.
A little kids scientific night light projector had been set up pointing to the ceiling. Beautiful stars and constellations were shining bright above us, just like the medusa cascade in doctor who. Purple and pink clouds of dust swirling around tiny pinpricks of light.
It was amazing.
...did Cas do this?
