A small blue car drove past a local playground. The doves and small birds that'd flocked in front of a few kids throwing breadcrumbs with their parents now scattered and flew away. The gust from the passing car had startled their senses. A small boy along with two girls, all looked sourly at this misfortune before letting out disappointed cries and calling the driver "a big fat idiot". They'd spent the last five minutes playing with the cute birds, after all. Across the street on the opposite side of the playground, a teenage girl had her face stuck to her phone as she walked by a boy in red that caught her eyes for a moment. He looked at her nervously in return, as if waiting for her to strike a conversation he didn't want. She blinked, eyes back on her phone, and continued walking without pause.
