Their time waiting in the queue was spent with the members looking in awe at the sheer scale of the rails. Every person picked the biggest and fastest rollercoaster attraction in the park. Shintaro then gradually found himself all the way at the top of what was only the first hill of the ride. The cart moved up slowly, menacingly approaching the peak. It gave him a stomach-ache-inducing view over the steep downhill climb and the hard, concrete ground. The wind blew against the carts. The distance between them and the sun was now the shortest it'd been the entire day. Shintaro found it sort of comforting. Rollercoasters tend to have that effect on people. They stop still for a calming moment at the very top. And then you're just enjoying the view... before abruptly falling down. Every blood cell in Shintaro's system was fleeing toward his spine, out of his body, and dragging his soul out with them. His breath was taken away. He couldn't even scream. In stark contrast to his suffering were Ene and Momo. One of them was waving her digital arms up and laughing like this was the best day of her life, enjoying the ride from where she sat inside Shintaro's front pocket. The other was clutching the arm restraints and screaming with a smile, her hair flying wildly. The rest of the group had a mix of reactions. Mary, in particular, had a similar reaction to Shintaro but was even more horrified than he was. With tears in her eyes, she screamed her lungs dry. As they moved at terrifying speeds along the rails, Shintaro caught a glimpse of red lights along the streets. An ambulance. A peculiar sight to see, but one that soon went out of sight as the air punched him in the face.
