(magic / ye old / alternative universe)

I sat on my bed, drawing. As I often did. The rough brown and grey blankets lightly scraping my tender skin, the bedding itself cold against the ice of the nights wind. The scilence echoing across the vast green feilds that went on further then I would ever understand. The mattress stuffed with hay and wood shavings feeling as unpleasant as it sounds.

I listened to the quiet of the night dragging the pencils across the paper in hope of something to occupy my time.

There was a Knock at my door which made me jump it opening with a creak meer seconds later

"Thomas, it's late" my father warned "you should be asleep"

"I know dad, I just wanted another one to try and sell tomorrow" I answered packing my drawings away and putting them under my bed he nodded with a grim look on his face as he looked at me closer

"What are you wearing?" He asked

"My clothes dad" I answered trying not to look at him

"Wearing those tomorrow are you?"

"No! Of course not I'll have a fresh wet tomorrow"

"Oh will you? I seem to have forgotten when was it exactly you got yourself engaged to an princess?' he asks

"Well never-" I began

"Ohh I see, so a lady was it?"

"No-"

"So when exactly did you get yourself a pretty little lady who's going to be doing all this extra washing?"

"No dad. I don't" I sighed

"Moneys tight enough as it is, you think I can afford you going though clothes like this!" He screams "take them off" he ordered as he loomed over my bed

"Dad I'm cold-" I began

"You think I give a shit if your cold!" He yelled hitting the back of my head hard enough I would have a bruise by morning and it forced out a few tears "take them off Thomas" he ordered

"Dad i-"

"Now!" He screamed so I did as he told me too putting the clothes on the floor by my bed holding the covers closer to my naked body to hide myself from him and to keep out the chill, "I see you doing this again, I'm kicking you all the way to work with your cock out" he warned Slamming my door shut as he left. I pulled my covers closer as I began to shiver as the darkness crept like a monster into everything and anything.

I stood with my father as he tried to sell the things he has found even if he didn't sell much of anything. I looked up a moment and saw a beautiful sight.

A woman with long beautiful hair, with soft bouncing curls. Her face like a angel, her body like a statue of a goddess, her skin as pale as if she was made of stone. Like a beautiful angel statue come to life, she wore a dress more beautiful then any other clothing I had ever seen, her body hidden below the dress except a hint of her chest where the dress wrapped over her. I looked at this woman wide eyed no doubt my mouth open like a fish and she turned to look at my father's stall her eyes a moment turning pink before returning to a beautiful blue. She smiled at my father and he was... well as inammered as I was.

"Umm what a lovely necklace" she said looking at one of the little necklaces my father found a while ago "may I?" She asks

"Of course miss" he smiled moving around to help her they chatted a while I wasn't sure about what before she gave him a kiss on the cheek and she continued off though the market.
