"Now, why would I do that?" Ventress force pushed the clones out of the way, they could be dealt with later. She ignited one of her red lightsabers and walked closer toward the whimpering clone. She raised the lightsaber above her head, preparing to cut the clone in half.

"Comet!" Wolffe yelled.

He pushed Comet out of the way and Sinker caught him. Wolffe tried to get away from Ventress, but it was too late. The lightsaber slashed against the side of Wolffe's face, he wasn't wearing his helmet, and tore into his eye. Blood from his torn open eye streamed down Wolffe's face as he screamed in pain.

"MY EYE! I CAN'T SEE! IT HURTS, MAKE IT STOP, MAKE IT STOP! HELP ME, SOMEONE, HELP ME!" Wolffe yelled, clawing at his face that was a bloody mess and was burning from the lightsaber. The last thing he heard was the shouts of the pack before he passed out from the excruciating pain.

"MEDIC! THE COMMANDER'S DOWN! GENERAL PLO KOON! HELP!" Sinker yelled. He looked at his brother and he was scared. He didn't know if Wolffe would survive this, he was losing blood fast. His right side of the face was torn open. He was a bloody mess.

Comet looked over at Wolffe and threw up. He turned away, he couldn't stand looking at Wolffe like that. It was his fault, it was all Comet's fault. Wolffe had kept his promise, he didn't let anything happen to him. Comet cried, Wolffe's screams of pain playing over and over in his mind. He closed his eyes, only to open them back up, when Plo Koon had arrived. He carried Wolffe's limp body back to the gunship, with the 104th and the Wolfpack behind him.

Sinker, Warthog, and Boost were in the medbay watching over Wolffe. He hadn't woken up yet, Kix had said the sedative would wear off in a couple of hours. They had sent Comet off to go and hang out with Fives and Hardcase a couple of hours ago. They didn't want Comet to see the surgery, it would have made him throw up again. Now, that the surgery was over they allowed Comet to come back to the medbay.

Comet walked in nervously. He saw Wolffe lying on a cot with multiple bandages wrapped around the right side of his face. He could see little specks of blood on the bandages and Comet gulped. He looked over at his pack.

"What happened to his eye?" Comet said softly, his eyes back on Wolffe's sleeping form.

"Cybernetic eye. It'll take some time for him to get used to it, but the bandages don't come off until he wakes up."

"Why, when he wakes up?"

"I don't know. I'm not a medic."

The conversation stopped as they saw Wolffe starting to wake up. Kix rushed in to make sure everything was fine and to take the bandages off. Wolffe slowly sat up, he started panicking because he had an eye but it didn't feel like one. He lifted his hand up to his head and felt the bandages.

"What happened to my eye. It doesn't feel right." He growled.

"Your eye was torn apart, it couldn't be saved. You have a cybernetic eye, that's why it doesn't feel right." Kix said. "I need to take the bandages off, and then you can leave. It'll be weird with the eye for a while, but you'll get used to it."

"Ok, I guess."

Kix gently started to unwrap the bandages. The Wolfpack stood by Wolffe waiting to see what his face looked like. Kix unwrapped the last bandage. Wolffe's face was irritated, red, and swollen. His skin puffed up along the side of his face, which was going to become a scar. His cybernetic eye looked different and the area around it was deeply swollen and bruised. Comet felt nauseous, and he bent over and threw up in the trashcan.

"Sorry." He mumbled and looked anywhere but at Wolffe.

"That bad, huh? Take Comet out of here, he doesn't need to see this." Wolffe said.

"No, it's fine. I just thought of what your face looked like before surgery, your face now is an improvement." Comet said sheepishly. He looked back at Wolffe and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Okay, Wolffe. You're cleared, you can go now. Nothing but bedrest for you." Kix said. Wolffe nodded and got up. The pack followed him out the door, except Wolffe had walked into the wall, instead of going out the door. "And Wolffe? You might run into things for a while before you get used to the new eye." Kix added.

Sinker, Boost, Warthog, and Comet were in their quarters. They were worried about Wolffe. He had gone straight into his private quarters, which he rarely used, and he hadn't come out since. They tried to go and talk to him, but he just told them to go away. Comet was especially worried. He knew that if he had moved away from Ventress, then Wolffe wouldn't have had to push him away and then Wolffe wouldn't have gotten his cybernetic eye.

Wolffe was in his private quarters, crying. He had gone into the refresher and looked at his face. His face looked horrible, it wasn't anything worthy to look at. Wolffe wasn't worthy to be looked at. Comet had thrown up at the sight of him, and Wolffe sighed, Comet would never want to talk to him again or look at him again. His brothers would stay clear of him, and probably all of the Jedi. No one would want to look at someone with a face like this.

Wolffe put his helmet on and went to visit the pack. When he walked in, Comet flung himself onto Wolffe and cried into his chest. Wolffe held Comet, patting his head in an awkward way. He wasn't used to being touched except for at night in the pack pile.  Wolffe hated that Comet was crying, he didn't like to see him upset. He hated it when anyone in his pack cried. He definitely didn't want the pup of the pack to be upset.

"Wolffe, it's my fault. It's my fault you lost your eye. I'm sorry, please don't hate me because of it." Comet said looking up at Wolffe through his tears.

"I don't blame you, I told you I'd protect you and I did. I'd never hate you, Comet. Please, stop crying. I don't like seeing you upset." Wolffe reassured him. Comet nodded his head and pulled away from Wolffe, wiping his tears away.

"Let's just go to bed early. I'm on bedrest anyway." Wolffe said. Comet ran and flopped on the bed, along with Sinker, Boost, and Warthog. Wolffe lied down and wrapped his arms around Sinker.

It was around two hours later when Wolffe had a nightmare, it was with Ventress and how she tried to kill Comet. He pushed Comet out of the way and was struck by the lightsaber.

"I CAN'T SEE! MY EYE! I CAN'T SEE!" Wolffe yelled waking up the entire pack. They looked at each other confused until Wolffe screamed again. They shook him trying to get him awake but it didn't work, he was clawing at his face leaving red scratch marks. Comet hit Wolffe with a pillow and he woke up. He looked up at them and he nudged Comet and took his spot in the middle of the bed. Nothing was said, they knew what Wolffe wanted. They lied back down all of them cuddling Wolffe who felt safe in between his pack. He felt Comet snuggle up closer to him and wrap Wolffe's arm around him. Wolffe fell back asleep feeling safe and protected with his brothers, that he loved and would do anything for.
