"What'cha doing, Wolffie?" Comet asked wrapping his arms around his older brother's neck. He bit into a granola bar and turned to look at the screen of Wolffe's datapad but Wolffe moved it out of eyesight. "Lemme see!" he reached for the datapad but Wolffe moved away again.
Wolffe looked over at the little pup. "No, it's a surprise," he said. Comet huffed and took another bite of his granola bar again. Wolffe sighed and turned off the datapad. Comet's attention was on his granola bar, so he didn't notice Wolffe's hands reaching for his stomach until it was too late. Comet laughed as soon as Wolffe started tickling him.
"Wolffe! Stop! Stop, lemme go!" Comet said gasping for air. The kid was very ticklish and everyone in his pack (mostly Boost) loved to tickle him. Wolffe stopped but only because Comet was chewing on his granola bar. He didn't want Comet to start choking.
Boost walked into the quarters, with an amused expression on his face. He had just given Echo his feather-covered regulation manual. "You should have seen Echo's face! He was so mad!"
"I would imagine so... After all, that was his favorite reg manual." Warthog said. He looked over at Comet who was trying to sneak off with Wolffe's datapad. "Comet, where are you going with Wolffe's datapad?"
Comet stopped in his tracks. He was halfway towards the door. "Umm... I was going to go see Tup." he tried. He glanced over at Wolffe, who was looking back at him, unamused.
"With Wolffe's datapad?" Warthog pressed. He walked over to retrieve it but Comet was already halfway down the hallway, heading towards some random supply closet.
"He never was good with surprises, was he? I guess I should have known that Comet would try to figure it out." Wolffe sighed.
"Yeah, probably. I mean come on, it's Comet! No one can keep a secret or a surprise from him! It's just not possible!" Sinker replied.
"WE'RE GOING TO NABOO? ARE WE ACTUALLY GOING TO NABOO? WOLFFE, TELL ME!" Comet yelled running back into the room. He ran up to Wolffe and hit him on the head with Wolffe's datapad. "Well? Are we?" he asked.
"Yes, we are. It was going to be a surprise before you found out." Wolffe said smiling. Only the Wolfpack was able to get Wolffe to smile.
"When are we going? When? Tell me!"
"In about 2 weeks. Why?" Boost asked.
"Because we have to go on some relief mission with some golden protocol droid in a couple of weeks. That's why. General Plo Koon told me earlier. I forgot to tell you." Comet said.
"Oh, great. Not another mission with C-3PO. Did the general say that I had to go?" Wolffe complained. He flopped onto his bed with a sigh. He hated that translator droid. He wished, very much, that he could just take it apart. Except he couldn't. It belonged to Anakin Skywalker and Padme. It wasn't Wolffe's to destroy.
"Okay, dude, what's your problem with droids? You literally flinch whenever I talk about protocol droids." Comet asked, his eyes narrowed.
"Um... nothing. It's just-"
"Hello, I am C-3PO human cyborg relations. I am fluent in over six million forms of communication. Oh! Commander Wolffe! It is so good to see you again!" C-3PO said as he walked into the room followed by Plo Koon.
"Wolffe, whatever you do, do not destroy this droid. I know you want to, but please don't." The Kel Dor Jedi instructed. He knew how much Wolffe hated that particular droid.
"Why, not? I'd be doing everyone a favor if I did." Wolffe insisted, crossing his arms, and glaring at the golden droid that had taken a liking to Comet.
"Can someone get this weird machine away from me?" Comet whined. "He talks too much. Does he have an off button or something?"
"General, why did you bring him here?" Boost asked. He grabbed Comet's arm and pulled him away from C-3PO.
"Comet did tell you that you have a relief mission, that C-3PO has to go on with you?" Plo Koon asked confused.
"Yes, he did. He said that mission wasn't until a couple of weeks, though." Warthog answered.
"No, the mission starts in one rotation. C-3PO insisted on seeing you guys, now. He wanted to tell Wolffe about another adventure he went on." Plo Koon said.
"Oh, great. I'd be delighted to hear it." Wolffe said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and glared at Comet when Comet had snickered at him.
C-3PO walked over towards Wolffe to tell him the story. "Great, Commander Wolffe. Well, it all started when..."
