12 ⇢ up to something

"want me to help you?" jeongguk asked after dinner to jimin who was getting ready to clean the deck.

"i am fine," said jimin, "but you can stay and keep me company," saying with a blush.

jeongguk nodded and pulled out his harmonica and played. as jimin cleaned jeongguk played and watched the boy. he began to think. does he like jimin? jeongguk stared at jimin's face as if he was looking for answer then stopped at his lips. they looked soft. he wondered if they tasted sweet.

he stopped playing when he heard someone coming, "jeongguk, you are finally playing your harmonica," said baek, "it's been a while since i've heard you play, it's been years."

jeongguk smiled, "i guess i have a reason to," he said and glanced at jimin who was out of ear reach. "how's your shoulder?"

baek sighed, "it's fine, just hurts now and then," he informed, "jimin was pretty brave, i thought he would freeze but he reacted quickly. i have to thank him. or should i have you do that for me?" he said with a smirk.

jeongguk shoved his elbow at him. "ow," baek said, "what i know you want to kiss him." jeongguk rolled his eyes.

"but on a serious note," baek said, changing tone, "mark told me something interesting." jeongguk look at him curiously. baek looked around and motioned him to follow him further into the dock so no one would hear them.

"mark told me he saw sunni and byulmang talking. seems like they are planning something."

"does captain know?" asked jeongguk.

baek shook his head, "no idea. i dont think he does but i have no way of confirming that." jeongguk nodded, "i had a bad feeling about him from the start."

"did jimin tell you what he did or say to him earlier?" asked baek. jeongguk sighed, "he didn't, just told him he was bothering him."

baek nodded, "well i just wanted to let you know, i'm heading to bed," he said then looked at jeongguk with a smirk, "don't forget to thank jimin for me," he winked. jeongguk rolled his eyes.

"jeongguk?" said a voice. he turned to see jimin, "i am done mopping, and going to head to bed, are you coming?" jeongguk nodded and followed jimin.
