Chapter 19: The end of a year.
"Do you know why I asked you here?" Dumbledore peered over at the anxious Student, she was sat in a stool twiddling her fingers around.
"Maybe" she mumbled.
"Miss Deaver, you have a gift. An extraordinary gift" he went to explain, as she sat there sitting in her thoughts.
Cedric Diggory is alive and breathing, he's at St Mongo's for checkups and to make sure he's okay, but he's alive.
"You know, dark times are ahead and you know what the future holds" He spoke to her calmly, as though she would snap anytime soon.
"Yeah...and I know that I can't tell anyone about my 'gift'"she spoke to him on the same tone, she was actually confused as to why he had called her here.
"I need a favour of you" He states the truth, of course he was going to use the gift.
It would be stupid if he didn't, to be honest.
"You want me to keep everyone alive, don't you?" She whispered, "I want to, believe me, I've lived every death"
"And for that very reason, is why I'm trusting you to guide this whole...war." He explained to her, she nodded along in agreement. "I also want you to come to The Orders headquarters to live there for the summer"
She knew about the order, and where the location was.
"But, won't people at the orphanage notice I'm gone..." She was thinking out loud mostly, they needed to be cautious.
"Yes, if they still had your records that is" He said in an all-knowing tone as he lifted up a file from his desk and chucked it over to her.
She caught it and read the title, 'Rosie Deaver'
"You are now a free witch, technically speaking" He simply said, before taking a lemon drop and chewing on it.
"How will I get there?" She asked cautiously.
"You will stay at the burrow for the first few weeks, then you will head over to headquarters" He explained as he sat back down on his chair, "you may now leave...and Rosie, nobody must know about this, I need you to keep everyone safe. I'm counting on you"
So much for no pressure, Rosie had thought as she left the office.
She stood onto the eagle stairway and muttered the password, it moved downwards and she ended up in a school hallway which was silent.
Then, she heard a lot of chattering so she headed over to the courtyard where the noise was located.
The schools were saying goodbye to each other, and Rosie felt alone in the courtyard as she awkwardly stood at the back.
She didn't exactly want to be seen, she got many strange looks from the final task.
The champion of the tri-wizard tournament was agreed to be between all three, but Cedric and Rosie gave it all up so Harry could have it.
But, then Harry gave the money to the Weasley twins for their jokes shop that was in works.
"Rosie!" She heard Ginny shout and she turned towards where the witch was.
Rosie grinned before running over to Ginny, so that she was no longer alone.
"What did Dumbledore want?" Ginny asked, glancing at the file on her hands.
Rosie subconsciously brought the file closer to her chest, "I'm not allowed to speak about it"
Ginny nodded at her honesty before she tugged the girl over to watch the schools leave.
It was one crazy year.
