It was a dark and eery evening in November and the Gryffindor's would be celebrating their win against Slytherin, Hermione's heart would be broken as Ron would make out with Lavender, only to have Harry try and help her throughout it as he was going through a similar phase with Ginny.
Harry Potter had a task with SlugHorn, he also had acquired a new potions book that would end up badly.
Draco Malloy had a task with killing Dumbledore, so far he had cursed Katie Bell by accident.
Rosie Deaver had a task to look after everybody, and it had to start with Draco Malfoy that year.
So, while Lavender was snogging Ronald, and Harry and Hermione were hiding in a sad hallway together.
Rosie Deaver made her way up the astronomy tower to speak to Draco Malfoy, in hopes to guide him through his task, knowing that it needed to succeed.
"Malloy" She spoke as she reached the top, and the boy spun around in a sudden movement.
He, of course, knew of her abilities and he was hoping to avoid her all year. "You won't be able to help me out of this—"
"I know" Rosie spoke softly, and Draco nodded before he turned back to his view suspiciously. "I need you to continue actually"
"Why? You know what I'm meant to do, and you want me to do it?" Draco seemed disgusted with her.
"Dumbledore knows that price and he has chosen the way he dies" Rosie spoke carefully, watching him slowly relax into her company. "You may be in deep and it will seem as though there is no hope or choice, but when the time is ready...you'll know"
"Time is ready?" Draco questioned confused, Rosie only nodded at him.
"Dumbledore had chosen his path, and I know which one I have to take" Rosie went on, leaning against the railing with him. "You're not bad Draco, you're just a boy without a choice. But, you will have a choice and you will choose good"
"You've seen it, then?" Draco asked, his interest peaking through. "Am I....is Charlotte going to be okay?"
Rosie smiled softly, "I have seen the happiness that her future holds, and she will be great duo that you let her go at this time"
Draco looked down in sadness, thinking that Charlotte would've found happiness with someone else who had a chose in what they did.
"I'm setting up a meeting for the both of you" Rosie suddenly cut off his loss of hope, and he snapped his attention to her. "It will be one meeting before you'll have to spend months, maybe even a year apart, but it won't be a goodbye"
And that was all Draco needed to know to go through with the task, it will seem bad, but he'd end up with Charlotte.
"Meeting?" He questioned, trying not to show his excitement.
"It's okay to smile in front of me, you know? I've already seen all your smiles, as creepy as it sounds" Rosie continued "I will get you when the meeting is ready, I can't tell you right now as I don't know the impact"
Draco nodded along softly, just excited to get the chance to even see Charlotte again.
They settled back down and stared out at the night sky, causing Draco to glance at Kathy as he realised something. "Your dad is after you"
"I know" Rosie hummed along, before she tapped her head lightly. "He's been trying to break through a barrier I put up, but I'm holding off on my end to make sure he can't see the future ever again"
Draco thought along everything she had said, nodding slightly at her last words before he turned to the stars and began to think of his next way to complete his task, not even noticing Rosie slip away.
