After I went to bed, I woke up after a really bad dream. I couldn't quite remember it now, but something tells me that the pit settling in my stomach after my nightmare had something to do with Shinsou's words from earlier. This whole memory loss thing is really starting to get on my nerves.
I turn myself over, off of my back, to face my bedside table and reach out for my phone. When I hit the power button, the brightness is turned on to 100% and my eyes feel like the hounds of hell came up to me and burned them off, therefore, I let out a small yelp. After my eyes adjust to the lighting, I read the time on my phone. "3:37am" it reads.
"UGH!!" I sigh very loudly as I flop back onto my back side, a little scared to go back to sleep even though I don't know what the dream was about. I then bring my phone over, on top of my chest and start watching YouTube videos in an attempt to distract my mind. I did turn the brightness down by now, though, if you're wondering.
After about 5 minutes, I get a text from someone, an unknown number. This is strange, however, because the only person I gave my number to, so far, was Kirishima. After clicking out of YouTube I facepalm after I think about the fact that I didn't realize he would probably distribute my number to anyone who wanted it because he didn't want to let them down. I now realize he's just that kind of guy, and laugh at myself a little bit. A little curious, I tap on the green messenger app and read the text.
U ok in there?— (***)***-****
Alright time to think. I did groan earlier, out of my annoyance. They could be asking about that, but if they heard it that means they have to be near by. I squeal a little as I have my first breakthrough, then my phone rings again.
Ok, now I'm really concerned—(***)***-****
Respond dammit!!!—(***)***-****
It wasn't like this originally, but now our dorm rooms were staggered boy-girl-boy-girl style, so my next door neighbors were Kirishima, on my left, and Kacchan, on my right. My bed was up against the right corner of my room, so it didn't take much for me to hear whenever the blonde cursed something.
"Dumb bitch..." I hear him mumble as he shuffles around the room. It's quite loud actually, and a little disturbing with how aggressive even his walk is.
Suddenly I hear a loud knock on my door and stumble out of my bed to go answer it. Only, I find the blonde punk, as expected.
"Hey blondey." I say casually as I hold the door.
"So you're not dead?! What a disappointment..." He says holding up his phone showing me the messages and throws his head back a little with the disappointment part. I start to slam the door in his face when he slams his hand on it, leaving only my eye visible to the light from the hallway. "Sorry princess," he says sarcastically. "Bad habit." I reopen the door.
"What do you want Blondey?"
"Well first, for you to stop calling me that. My named is Bakugo. Second, you never told me you're one condition to forgiving me. And third, you sound frustrated." After hearing this, I let the hard frown soften so that my face is just resting and relaxed.
"First, whatever blondey. Second, let's go to the common area. I have a way you can hit two birds with one stone." He nodded and we started walking.
~~~~~~~Time Skip 3:56am~~~~~~~
We were now in the common area, and I sat down on the couch. On the complete opposite side, Bakugo slumped down, putting one leg on the coffee table and an elbow on the arm rest. I have a feeling this is a douchey attempt to make me see him as more of a man, it's not working.
"It's a two step process Blondey. You sure you're ready to take me on?" I smirk a little, making myself sound like a challenge.
"Believe me sweetheart," again with the sarcastic nicknames. "I've had worse." He leans in a little and almost growls as he whispers it. All I can think is, you think you're the shit don't you bud?
"Number One: You have to listen to my issue." His eyes widen. As I suspected, he had no experience at all in helping people with their emotions, and he underestimated me when I talked about this being a challenge. Nevertheless, I talked about how my nightmare made my feel and my annoying brightness for the next 10 minutes, while he mostly just nodded and "mhm"ed his way through this.
"Number Two: Find a way to take my issue off my mind." I smirked again, seeing as though he didn't know my personal interests, this one in particular would be difficult. When I look over, however, my eyes were the ones to widen this time. Bakugo pulled out his phone and opened Netflix. As the screen was loading he turned to me.
"I know just the thing. I have those kind of fucking nightmares all the time, but this always helps." I scoot over closer to him, as he straightens up against the back of the couch. Me and him are almost touching at this point, and I look over his shoulder to see the screen. He scrolls constantly through movies and shows, desperate to find one he thinks I'll like.
"What do you think about How To Get Away With Murder?" I freak out a little bit when he says this. How'd he know? That was my favorite show!
"Oh my god, I love it! Who's your favorite character? Mine's Laurel." We went on for about 5 minutes discussing the plot and our favorite characters, plus compromising which episode to watch since one of us made it further than the other in the show. Eventually we settled in though on S 1 Ep 13.
I brought my knees up to my chest and scooted closer towards Bakugo so I could see the screen better. Eventually we hit a really good part. Bakugo got excited and put his arm around me, shaking me a little, but then he never took it off and just kind of hugged me against him. I couldn't be bothered though, the show was at too good of a part.
We sat there like that for the rest of the night and finished watching the show, but when we finally looked up from the screen and took the earbud out of our ears, we realized the sun was up, and had been up for awhile, as all of our classmates were standing around watching us.
