As I slowly walk away from the nurses office, delaying the questions I'm gonna get, I get some stares from people in the hallway. I hear the murmurs of people being unsure of who I was, and rude remarks of my bright blue hair, calling it unnatural. Seriously?! This is a high-school full of super humans and my hair is the only thing you can find that's weird?! Suddenly, I catch myself staring at my feet too much while walking again, and a foot trips me. The person who did the tripping looks at me with a brief moment of disgust before shaking his head, as though shaking away thoughts. His blonde hair ruffles itself back out.
"Aren't you from class 1-A? The newby?" He asked, laughing in the process. I felt my facial expression get dark, like I knew what he was going to say next. "No, there's no way. You look wayyy to weak to be from that class, not that they're not all weak anyway. You just seem to be on a lower level sweetheart..." He bends down, getting closer to my face as he says those last few words. I'm so angry right now, my insides feel like they'll be the ones to jump out and punch him through a wall. Suddenly the flame inside me becomes out of control. I can feel my eyes change the lens again, but instead of the black void where I saw my last memory, it just feels like I'm stuck in a white square.
Suddenly, a white, almost angel like figure comes and walks in front of me. This person reaches down to grab my left hand, and holds it in both of its hands in front of us. Then, a sharp pain hits the right temple of my head, as I see our hands glowing. This pain is so intense that I fall to my knees.
"AAAAAGGGHHH" I scream, raising my head to the ceiling. Something happened once I let out that groan though; I was transported into any other memory. This time, I'm still the kid, but I'm down on my knees with tears in my eyes, looking at these kids standing in front of me with an awful grin. It seems as though they enjoy my pain, like they were the ones who struck me down. Three boys stand in front of me, along with one girl who seems to be controlling them, like they're all one big friend group.
"Fricking Nerd. Who the heck even reads that dumb stuff?! Grow up!" One of the boys slur walking away. All the boys follow him, but the girl, who's face is unrecognizable, stays there. Staring at me. With that same damned look on her face.
I look down at the ground, avoiding her gaze. As I look down, I see what I was holding, or reading according to that boy. It was a manga book, but I couldn't recognize the title. I close my eyes, letting my tears stain the dirt in this playground. My head starts to pound. Dehydration mixed with the headache of my tears, and I pass out. My head hitting the ground harshly, and my head in front of the girls feet.
"Anna..." I can hear a faint, distant voice speaking.
"Anna! Wake up!" Or maybe it isn't so distant at all.
My eyes flutter awake. It seems as though going into the memory caused me to pass out again. I look behind me to see who's holding me, shaking me awake. It's Jiro. Kaminari stands along side her though, yelling at the blonde who was making fun of me and class 1-A earlier.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?! SHE JUST CAME HERE!" His voice is harsh, as Kaminari screams at the blonde. The other boy simply seems nonchalant, and almost annoyed.
"Oh shut up already. You know full well I didn't do anything to her!" He raises his tone with the last sentence, and Kaminari seems like he's ready to burst a bubble. I look around me to see the crowd that's gathered, watching them fight. Disgusting. I mean seriously, they're feeding off anger and other emotions like it's reality TV and not someone's private issues.
Chaos breaks lose in the look of Kaminari's eyes towards the blonde, as he struggles to keep his calm, until a certain teacher emerges from the crowd.
"Scatter." He orders everyone, in a calm, yet threatening tone. I see Kaminari get worried, as a drop of sweat goes down the side of his head in recognizing Mr. Aizawa's presence.
"This means big trouble..." Jiro whispers in a worried tone. "Come on, lets get you out of here. I don't know what they'd do with you if they figure out you caused this, but I'm sure Denki will take the hit." She says this with both worry and sadness, lifting me up off my feet and walking me to my next class.
As we walk up to the door, Kirishima and Izuku both come running towards me and out of the classroom.
"Hey, what happened?!" Kirishima asked.
"Yeah are you alright, Anna?" Izuku questioned me. Yeah I'm a trooper.
"Um, yeah I guess so.... it's kind of a blur..."
Everyone in the group looks at me in confusion, even Jiro who was there when it went down.
"She met her first match with Neito and, lets just say, it didn't go to well." Jiro explained. The boys just nodded and gave me a hand to my seat, saying thanks to Jiro for walking me here. Just get through today Anna, then you're home free, I thought. It wasn't really true, but whatever motivation I could find, whether it was false hope or not, would get me through the rest of today.
