4 The Princess

Jamie opened his eyes, realizing what he's doing.

He released his grasp and took a few steps back, his normally expressionless face replaced with a flushed embarrassed expression. He cleared his throat and hissed "What are you guys doing here? You could get caught! It's after curfew anyways!" Lottie looked around and saw that he stayed alone in this room. There was a single bed, draped in Ivy's house colour, purple. A closet at the end of the room. The bathroom door was open so she got to see the bathroom too. It was pretty and sophisticated looking.

Ellie ignored whatever Jamie said and gasped. "Jamie! How is your room looking so good? It doesn't look like our rooms at all." Ellie asked. "Ah...about that...the principal didn't really wanted to admit me into this school but the king insisted and one thing led to another and I ended up in this room." Jamie explained. Lottie walked towards Jamie's bed and felt the bedding material. "This is silk! This type of material is VERY expensive. I just use cotton." Lottie commented. "Ellie also uses silk, Lottie" Jamie said annoyingly. Lottie passed Jamie a dark chocolate bar which Jamie gratefully accepted. It was his favourite flavour after all. The trio spent the next 2 hours chatting and laughing together. Ellie left to get something and left Jamie and Lottie alone. The atmosphere thickened after that. "So..Jamie...I heard about the beat down you gave the guy." Lottie started only to be interrupted by Jamie. "Oh. Him. The guy's name is Zach. If I'm not mistaken, he's a few grades above us. Close to graduating too." he said in between bites of his chocolate. "Why did you do-" Jamie slapped a hand over her mouth to silence her. He ran to close his room lights and carried Lottie into his bed swiftly and quietly. "Shhh. They're doing a patrol." he whispered. She nodded and he released his hand from her mouth.

After the patrol was over, Jamie urged Lottie to go back to her room quietly. Lottie did as she was told and when she reached her room, she found Ellie snoring in her bed. She facepalms and covered Ellie up. She changed and proceeded to take out her earphones and listened to music.

This song reminds her of Ollie back in Cornwall. She slept feeling homesick. The next day, she got dressed and left for the cafeteria. Lola and Micky, candy cane looking twins, looked at Lottie with amazement. Lottie felt uncomfortable with all the glances she was receiving. She bought a chicken pie and orange juice and sat near an empty table. In a few seconds, Binah, Raphael, Anastacia, Saskia, Lola and Micky slid into the empty seats. "Lottie. Do you want this?" Lola asked, passing Lottie an apple-flavoured candy. "Mmm..No thank you. I'm allergic to apples." They all gasped and looked at each other with knowing glances. "Lottie. Is it true that you're the princess of Maradova?" Raphael blurted. Huh? Lottie choked on her pie. She gulped down her orange juice and stuttered "W-what? No. I'm not..." Binah looked at Lottie with an amused look on her face. "Yes, you are. I mean...your name is downright ridiculous, you're allergic to apples and you're not from around here." Binah said.

Ellie suddenly came and smacked her tray down and started gobbling down her meal and some sweets. When she looked up she found the others looking at her. "Wot?" She asked with her mouth full. "Oh..um...guys, this is Ellie. My roommate. Ellie, this is Binah, Raphael, Micky, Lola, Saskia and Anastacia." Lottie said nervously. "Ellie, do YOU know that Lottie is the undercover princess of Maradova?" Lola asked in her sweet voice. Ellie spat out the remaining food in her mouth. "WHAT?!" she screamed. She glared at Lottie and stormed towards their dorm room.
