14 The confession

"Lottie..I think I like him..." Ellie murmured. "What?" Lottie asked, covering the plaster on her neck with her hand. "N-nothing!! And stop covering that hickey! It's already covered anyways!!" the dark haired girl exclaimed.

Ellie's P.O.V

That's it I guess. I like him. I like Faris. But I can't tell Lottie...She hates Faris' brother. No, I'll not tell her. As much as she wants to protect me, I want to protect my pumpkin. That's it. I'll push away my crush for Faris. I looked at Lottie's flustered face and smiled. I laid down and pulled my covers over my head. Even though I can't like him, his brown eyes keep popping in my mind. The playful glint that he has in his eyes. His wholesome laughter and how gentle he is when he speaks with me. We share a lot in common. Our love in games and comics. He even taught me some of his language. He's not like those other stuck up princes like Ashwick. I fell asleep with his laughter echoing in my mind and his smile etched in my memories.

The next day, I woke up to see Lottie all dressed up and ready for class. I took a while in getting ready. Once we both made our way to the cafeteria, we saw our friends but my eyes were only focused on Faris. He was bickering with his brother as usual. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Oh, did you know? Faris has a cru~sh!!" Farhan grinned. My heart squeezed in pain. He likes someone? Wait- why do I care? I don't like him anymore, right? I plastered a smile on my face and laughed. "Oh my god really?? That is so unexpected from you, Faris!" I said. "I'm going to tell her today but Farhan expects me to get rejected. Just because he got rejected from the girl he likes." Faris said, pouting playfully. Well, that sentence shattered me. "By the way, Ellie? Could you meet me at the fountain later? After school?" Faris asked, his face hinting a bit of pink. I nodded and took a bite of my sandwich. Tears were threatening to spill from my eyes. Everything was getting blurry. I wiped my eyes. "Sorry, allergy." I said when Jamie grabbed me from my shoulders. "Allergy? What did you eat? What happen?" he asked. I rolled my eyes. "It's nothing!" I said and turned away. I hung my head low and finished the rest of my food. I stood up and dumped my tray.

I ran to the bathroom and into a stall. I locked it and all the tears which I held just now spilled, drop by drop. I sat down on the toilet cover and hugged my knees. Trying to forget about Faris is hard. It hurts so much. The more I try to push him away, the more he comes back. Why is he so nice to me? He likes somebody else. Somebody tell him to stop. Please... I can't stand this anymore. After a few minutes comforting myself, I exited and went to refresh my face. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the bathroom and went to class. I saw Faris smirking back at me. Ah, how he makes my heart throb. I rolled my eyes playfully and took a seat. Lottie and Jamie eyed me suspiciously and I made a face. Can they stop worrying? I'm FINE. Yea..I'm.. totally..fine. After school, I slowly walked over to the fountain thinking of the worst. Could it be that the girl he confessed to accepted his confession?

I bit my bottom lip as I saw him sitting on the edge of the fountain. I tapped his shoulder and waved slightly. His face lit up as he stood up. His smile then fell. "What's wrong? You look kinda sad. Did something happen?" he concernedly asked. "So what did you wanna say?" my voice came out strained. Oops. He looked down nervously and words that I would never imagine came out of his lips. "I-IlikeyouEllieWolf. Iknowyoudon'tlikemebackandthat'sfine! I'vesaidwhatIsaid!" he said quickly, his eyes shut. My eyes widened and a joyous smile crept up my face. "Wh-what?" I asked. "I like you, Ellie. Would you be my girlfriend?" he repeated, his eyes still shut. I looked up at the taller boy, his hair falling down beautifully in front of his face. Tears of joy escaped my eyes and I wrapped my hands around his neck. "Yes, yes I would!" I pulled him close, burying my face into his chest. For a second, he paused before tightening the hug. He let go with the most widest smile I've seen on him. I playfully punched his arm and he laughed. He took my small hands in his and we saw Jamie and Lottie gaping at us. Lottie who was over Jamie's shoulder, blinked. 

Jamie's mouth was moving but no words were coming out. He placed Lottie down and she ran and hugged me before Faris pulled her away from me. "Hey hey! She's only mine to hug. Back off!" he said jokingly. Jamie frowned and walked away. I knew by the looks of it that he didn't approve of me and Faris' relationship. I know that Jamie disliked Faris and Farhan but I was too overwhelmed in the current situation. I looked at Lottie who shrugged. "He must be upset." she whispered to me. "Yeah, no shizz, Sherlock" Faris said, eyeing Jamie. I squeezed his hand in comfort and went to Jamie to talk to him. "Jamie! Jamie! Oi! J!" I yelled. He turned around and I bumped into him, causing me to fall. He grabbed me before I could reach the ground and stabled me. He raised an eyebrow questioningly and I tried to persuade him. "Jamie. Please give him a chance-" "No it's fine. You can date him but it's Farhan I don't like. It's just that looking at him reminds me so much of that Подонок ( f*cker )." he admitted snarkily. "And he tells me to mind my language." I gasped jokingly. He gave me a weak smile and walked away. Something's off. I went back to Lottie and Faris. "Lottie, something seems off with Jamie. Mind to check?" I asked.

She shook her head and skipped her way to Jamie. "Does Jamie not like me?" Faris frowned, worried. "No, he's okay with you but not with your brother. Quoting him 'It's just that looking at him reminds me so much of that Подонок ( f*cker )." I quoted Jamie. He tilted his head in confusion and I laughed. "Nevermind." He shrugged and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. "See you later." he walked away. My hand held my lips softly. He just kissed me. He just kissed me! MY body was filled with euphoria. My first kiss!! I ran to tell Jamie and Lottie everything but as I stepped into Jamie's room. I saw him crying into Lottie's shoulder. I was taken aback. Jamie NEVER breaks down. I worriedly sat beside Jamie, patting his back. "What happened?" I asked. Lottie pointed to a note on his desk. I opened it and read it.

We know who killed your mother. We did. You and your little princess is next, Partizan.

I shivered from the dangerous aura of the note. "How does it know that I'm-" "Not you Ellie. Lottie." Jamie said, his voice breaking. His breath hitched. Lottie hugged him tighter. Seriously? Right after I started dating Faris? "When was this?" I asked. "Since that time you caught me stuffing something into the drawer." he said quietly. "THAT LONG?!" I shrieked. He nodded, his head still buried in Lottie's neck. I sighed and hugged him too.
