Clara had been waiting for Drew to finish talking with his Mother for about an hour, when he finally finished it was quite clear he wasn't happy. The door to the house swung open and gave a loud bang as it bounced off the wall causing Clara to jump slightly. She spun round and saw him storming out of the house, a frown on his face and his chest heaving with the deep angry breath he was taking. He was dressed in a suit, and his arms were clenched causing the shirt to tighten around his biceps. Without looking at Clara he walked over and grabbed her wrist gently pulling her up.
"We're going home." Clara didn't say a word as he opened the car door for her and allowed her to get in. Clara watched as he walked round the car and climbed into the driver's side, slamming the door shut after him.
"What's going on?" Clara spoke softly, lifting her hand to reach over and take his but thinking twice and laying it back down in her lap. Drew didn't look up at her still, instead he started the car and focused on staring at the road. He was frustrated, yes, but not at her.
"I know about the note." He gripped the wheel a little tighter as he spoke. Who sent that? Did they know what they were getting themselves into?
"Maggie said it was probably just some younger boys messing around, is that true?" Drew let out a tight sigh and bit down on the inside of his cheek. He hated that he had to lie to her, but he didn't want to give her another thing to worry about.
"Yes, but enough of the subject. Tomorrow Harley will show you around a bit, she's going to take you to the nurseries and schools. She'll show you a bit about what you'll be doing in your role." Clara nodded her head and turned to look out the window, nothing more was said for the remainder of the drive. She watched as the trees past by in a bur, trying to catch a glimpse of the sun setting between them. Thinking about how peaceful it would have been if she didn't know there was more going on that what she was being told.

"Okay, so you'll be spending quite a bit of time here day to day. You'll be between here, the school, and making visits to the women of the pack. The future Alpha wants me to show you round and introduce you to a few of the women that work here." Harley explained as they sat in her small hatchback car. Clara looked out the window and saw a small building, out front was a small playground and a climbing frame. Vines grew up the walls of the building, giving it a cosy but dated feel. On each window there were children's paintings of rainbows and farm animals stuck up. It looked so sweet and friendly. Harley jumped out of the car and Clara followed as she walked to the main door. Even from outside the house you could hear the cheerful laughs of children playing, causing Clara to smile.
"Wait... So, what will I actually be doing here?" She asked before Harley opened the door. Harley smiled as she turned to face her.
"Mainly, helping look after the children. But you'll also need to do quarterly assessments of the building to make sure its safe and to ensure that the educational side of things is up to date." Clara nodded her head as Harley spun round and opened the door. As soon as she did multiple children looked over with huge smiles beaming from ear to ear.
"HARLEY!" They yelled as they jumped up and ran over to hug her. She giggled and knelt so she was the same height as them as they attacked her with hugs. Clara watched shyly, knowing that strangers can often be scary for young children. After the children had finished hugging Harley she stood back up and looked down at them all.
"Hello everyone! I hope you've drawn me some good pictures! But before you show me them, there's someone you all need to meet." She turned to look at Clara, causing the children to look up at her with curious faces.
"This is Clara, she's going to be our future Luna. Please, make her feel welcome." The children all shouted a 'hello' in unison to Clara, who smiled and waved back at them in return.
"Okay kids, go play while I show Miss Clara around." The children ran off to continue playing with their toys and Harley turned to face her.
"Shall we begin the tour?" Clara nodded her head as Harley began to walk further into the building. Inside was cosy but quite clearly a nursery, there were toys everywhere and paint stains on the walls. The room where most of the children were was quite large, filled with colourful small chairs and tables. On the left was a doorway which Harley was walking towards.
