3 Weeks Later.
Drew woke up at the crack of dawn like he had done every day since Clara went missing. Every morning he went out from the crack of dawn until the sun set in search of his mate. Trying to find anything that would help him find her. The first few nights he hadn't slept a wink, searching for his mate, but the pack had come up empty. No scent, no evidence, nothing. They'd come up dry every day, and each day that went by each day he lost a little piece of himself. He could feel every ounce of pain she was being put through, the starvation, the thirst, and the torture. Every second of it was just as torturous for him as it was for her.
A light knock at his bedroom door grabbed his attention, usually nobody was up when he left and when he got back everyone knew to stay out of his way unless it was important. He frowned slightly and ignored it, continuing to pack a few things in a bag ready for the day. But whoever it was, they were persistent. They knocked on the door again, and this time Drew chose not to ignore it. Letting out a sigh he walked over to the door and yanked it open. Jason stood in the doorway; concern written all over his face. Drew didn't say a word, he just stepped back and allowed him to enter the room.
"Are you going out again?" Jason asked quietly, feeling awkward and knowing Drew wasn't particularly happy with him for delaying him.
"I have to. I won't stop until I find her. There are only a few weeks until Christmas and I promised her I'd show her my Mother's family tradition. I told her she'd love it. She's getting weaker Jason; I can feel it. I need to find her." Drew huffed out his words, getting more frustrated at Jason's presences the longer he was there. He just wanted him to leave so Drew could go out and look for her. He'd searched the town, the neighbouring towns, and the woods multiple times, but that didn't stop him looking over them again.
"I understand, I want to help. Let me come with you today." Jason pleaded, the whole pack had been out looking for the first two weeks of her disappearance, but they had duties they had to get back to. Families they needed to take care of. He wanted them to keep looking, but he knew he couldn't keep asking them to abandon their families and duties for him.
"I spoke to your father last night, he said it was fine. Please Drew, let me help. I hate seeing you like this." Drew sighed and shrugged his shoulders."I guess with both of us looking we'll cover more ground. I'm going to take the south side of the woods, could you take the north side?" Drew asked as he continued to pack his bag. There was nobody in the pack he trusted more with the search for his mate than Jason. He knew that he would do anything he could to help him find her, and right now that's all he wanted to do... Find her.

A few hours late Drew padded through the woods in his wolf form. The sky above was cloudy and grey, threatening rain. But even if it poured down it wouldn't stop him. He sniffed at the ground trying to pick up any hint of scent that may be left there. But he continued to come up short. Nothing. There wasn't even a trace of her in any inch of these woods. When he tried to imagine what she was going through he couldn't even begin to think about it. The pain in his heart took over, so he focused all his energy on finding her to distract him from the pain of having lost her in the first place.
How could I have let this happen? Why haven't we found her yet? Where could this monstrous person have taken her? For all I know, he's taken halfway across the country and I'm looking in the complete wrong place. Who was it? Was it a rogue? Was it the same wolf who'd committed the murders the pack had been investigating? If it was him, then how long did she have left? No... No. I can't think like that. She's going to be okay. I'm going to find her, today... tomorrow... I will find her. I will bring her home, and I will never let anyone touch her again. The thought of even looking at her will never cross anybody's minds again.
All of a sudden, his body froze. A sharp sting ruptured in his stomach. His legs grew weak beneath him and sent him crashing to the ground. The pain was excruciating, like nothing he'd ever felt before. The wolf whimpered on the ground, his whole-body trembling. What was he doing to her? Drew's form began to shift as his wolf gave in and decided to hide away inside him. Drew lay on the ground in his human form, groaning and screaming in pain. His naked body withered on the ground in the brown dying leaves that covered the floor. He begged for the pain to stop, begged for whoever was doing this to end their torture. As if the man doing this had heard what he was begging the pain quickly stopped. Vanished.
"Clara... I know you can't hear me but... I'm coming. I'm coming for you I promise." He whispered under his breath but remained lay on the ground. A tear threatened to escape his eye. He didn't know how he was going to find her, but he knew he would. Soon.
