It Just Can't Be

Pt. 24 "Woah!"

Jugheads POV:
     Me and Betty have survived many months of school and we only had 1 more month left to bare. Betty stopped getting bullied by Archies friends when they found out she was the serpent Queen. Me and Betty were just handling life minute by minute. We still got threats from the ghoulies but we ignored them because nothing was happening. We were hanging out together every single weekend at the swimming hole with our friends.

     Me and Betty were sitting on my couch in my trailer. It was Friday afternoon and we were contemplating on what we could do this summer. Betty turned to me quickly with an excited look on her face. "Let's go to a summer camp!" She boasted with excitement "we could go and bring everyone else it would be so much fun!" She had a huge smile spreading across her face. I was thinking about it. I thought it might be fun but I also didn't know if I wanted to go away for a while but Betty made my decision for me when she pulled out that puppy face. "Please Juggie" she begged and stuck her bottom lip out. "Uhh, well..." I thought about it "we could share a caaaabin" Betty carried our the a and bit her lip.

     "Oh ok Betts lets go to summer camp" I smirked at her "yes!" She exclaimed and hugged me. We got my laptop and started looking at different summer camps we could go to. We found one we liked and settled on that one. It was only a couple of hours away. We would stay for 3 weeks in the beginning of summer and there was also a second trip at the end of summer. It even had a Bach which made Betty excited. It wasn't very expensive so it was perfect! Now we just had to get every one else on board so we texted the group chat.

Jug: Hey everyone!

Sweets🍭: wassup

Toni⚡️: hey

Jug: what do y'all think about going to a summer camp this summer?

Veronica👠: OMG I'm totes in!

Cheryl🍒: I'll go if Toni goes!

Toni⚡️: I'm definetly going babe!

Fangs🦷: heck yea!

Josie🐱: I'll be there!

Kev🌈: can't wait😁

Sweets🍭: Im down!

  I told everyone the dates and they asked permission to go. Everyone was going so far except Betty. She hadn't gotten to ask her mom yet. I offered to drive her home because her mom wanted her home anyways. I drove her to her house and she climbed off of my motorcycle "wish me luck" she sighed nervously "here's a good luck kiss" I said and pulled her in for a kiss. "Thank you Jug" she said as she pulled away and walked inside.

Bettys POV:
     I walked inside my house and hoped my mom would agree to letting me go. "Mom!" I called out shutting the front door behind me "yes Elizabeth" I heard her call from her bedroom. I walked in her room and she was at her desk doing her makeup. "Um, I was wondering if I could go to a summer camp this summer?" I asked nervously. "Who all would be going?" She asked skeptically "just me, Jug, Veronica, Cheryl, Kevin, Toni, Sweet Pea, Fangs, and Josie" I told her. "Well you can go that's fine by me" she said and smiled. I let out a breathe of relief.

     "Thank you so much mom!" I said giving her a hug "your welcome sweetie" she said back. I noticed that her hair was in perfect curls and she was wearing a nice dress "Um, why are you getting ready?" I asked curiously "I have a date tonight, just with an old friend" she said as she stood up. "Oh, ok well have fun" I exclaimed and slipped out of her room up to mine. I grabbed my phone and texted the group chat.

Betty: I can go!!

Jug💕: yes!

Cheryl🍒: I've already started my packing!

V💋: me too!

  Fangs🦷: y'all we don't go for a month why are you already packing?

Cheryl🍒: it's never to early to pack!

    I shut my phone off and got myself ready for bed. I was super excited for this summer camp. I didn't even know if I would be able to wait a whole month.
"Betty!" My mom said poking her head in my room "Yea mom?" I answered. "I'm leaving now I'm not sure when I'll be back but you better be here when I am!" She demanded "ok mom" I said. She walked away and I heard the front door open and then shut meaning she was gone.

   I got in bed and covered up. I fell asleep thinking about this summer and how much fun we were going to have.

  Time pass
1 month and 5 days

    I woke up super excited to go to camp. I had packed all of my clothes and was waiting on Jughead to come by my house and pick me up. I was wearing ripped jeans and one of Jugs S t-shirts. I'd tied it up and made it into a crop top so it would be more stylish. I had a book bag and a duffel bag filled with some clothes and necessities for these 3 weeks. I walked downstairs to my mom. "I'm about to leave mom" I said smiling "ok, have fun and be safe ok?" She questioned pulling me into a hug. "Ok mom" I pulled away from the hug and heard my phone ding

Jug💕: I'm here Betts

Betty: ok

    "Bye mom, love you" I said slipping out of the front door. I ran to Jughead and gave him a hug. He pulled his phone out and texted the group chat.

Jug💕: we need to be at the bus stop in 10 minutes.

    He put his phone up and we walked to the bus station where we met everyone. I hugged everyone and we laughed and joked while we waited on the bus. When the bus got there we all chose our seats. I sat down with Jug and we talked and ate snacks. Soon I fell asleep on Jugs shoulder.

Time pass
1 hour

  I woke up to Jug shaking me "hey Betts, wake up where here" she said. My eyes fluttered open and we grabbed our bags and walked off of the bus. To my surprise it looked nice. I could hear the beach waves in the distance and the cabins looked nicely built. A guy who looked like a camp director began talking to us "hello everyone! Welcome! Everyone Ages 14-15 your cabins are to the left 16-19 yours are to the right!" He exclaimed. Me and Jug held hands and walked to the right.

    We met a lady who was assigning cabins. "Hello guys! Are y'all sharing?" She asked us. "Yes" I said. "Ok here's your key you will be in cabin 27" she smiled and handed us a key. We made our way to our cabin and went inside. "Woah!" I exclaimed as I explored it.
