Ember looked at Abigail with a warm smile. "Abigail, why don't you freshen up and change into something more comfortable? We explore the estate tomorrow."

Abigail nodded appreciatively. "That sounds lovely, Ember. I could use a moment to relax and unwind after the journey."

"Take your time and relax. If you need anything, I'll be downstairs with my grandparents."

As Abigail prepared to change into more comfortable attire, Ember quietly closed the door, leaving her friend to enjoy a few moments of solitude. She made her way back downstairs, rejoining her grandparents, who were engaged in light conversation in the parlor.

Ember's grandparents turned their attention to her as she entered the room. Her grandmother's eyes twinkled with curiosity. "Did Abigail settle into her room comfortably, dear?"

Ember nodded with a gentle smile. "Yes, Grandmother. She seemed delighted with the room and the opportunity to freshen up. I'm sure she'll be down shortly, ready to explore the estate."

Ember's grandfather chuckled softly. "It's wonderful to have young friends visit, isn't it? It brings new energy and joy to the house."

Ember's heart swelled with affection for her grandparents. "Indeed, Grandfather. Having Abigail here is such a blessing. I'm grateful to have her by my side."

As they continued their conversation, the anticipation of further exploration and shared experiences filled the air. Ember looked forward to the days ahead, knowing that Abigail's presence would add an extra layer of warmth and companionship to their time at the estate.

In the tranquility of the guest room, Abigail walked over to the writing desk in her guest room and rang the small bell sitting on top. Moments later, the door opened, and Amalie, her personal maid, entered with a warm smile.

"Amalie, I could use your assistance," Abigail said kindly. "Please help me change into something more comfortable and freshen up. We have a delightful day ahead of us."

Amalie nodded, her eyes filled with attentiveness. "Of course, Miss Abigail. I'll make sure everything is ready for you."

Abigail took a seat on the velvet-upholstered chair near the vanity mirror, and Amalie began unpacking their belongings, carefully arranging the clothes and accessories in the wardrobe and drawers. The room gradually transformed into a cozy haven, reflecting Abigail's taste and style.

As Amalie selected a comfortable outfit for Abigail, she turned to her with a reassuring smile. "This gown should suit you perfectly, Miss Abigail. It's made of light fabric, perfect for exploring the estate."

Abigail nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, Amalie. Your attention to detail is impeccable."

Amalie assisted Abigail in changing into the fresh attire, ensuring that every fold and seam was perfectly aligned. As she finished, she stepped back, admiring her work. "There you go, Miss Abigail. You look absolutely radiant."

Abigail glanced at her reflection in the mirror, a smile playing on her lips. "Thank you, Amalie. You always know how to make me feel my best."

Amalie blushed slightly, her voice filled with sincerity. "It's my pleasure, Miss Abigail. If there's anything else I can assist you with, please don't hesitate to let me know."
