Karoline’s POV

Demi walked in my room. She stood at the door as she waited for me to get off the floor.

“We are having people over on Saturday, like, family and close friends.”

“Why?”

“Just a get together, I miss them all.”

“Anything special gonna happen?”

“Well Diana is going to bring some people over. I don’t know.”

“Is Maddie coming?” I yelled. Demi nodded. I squealed, louder than

usual. I hadn’t seen her in forever.

“Now, Zack is coming over, but he has something to tell you. It's important. I don’t know what it is yet, so, but he is bringing his girlfriend. Be nice, please. She is really pregnant and emotional. Just like I was, okay?”

“Fine, I can’t promise I will talk to her though.”

“Whatever, just don’t say anything nasty.”

“I won't, god, mom, who do you think I am?” We broke down into hysterical laughter, for what seemed like forever.

“I need you to clean you room,” I looked behind me, and there was stuff everywhere.

“Fine, but you are becoming one of those annoying mothers.”

“No, I know what you are going to say. Maddie is going to be in here. I am pretty sure many people will be through here, just clean it.” I rolled my eyes, she hated me sometimes.

“Come on, it's Friday. You need to get your room together. You have an appointment with your doctor and nutritionist later, therapy, and a hair and nails appointment. In the morning we have to clean this house and cook. We don’t have time for you to be lazy right now, sorry.”

“Whatever.”

She walked out, and I put on music. I got my room together in two hours. It was really messy. I even got some laundry started.

“Alright, Miss Karoline, lets see your progress. Looks like 109.7, good job! You are so close to your goal weight.”

109? That was almost 110. I worked so hard to get under 100 pounds, and now I have gained almost twenty pounds? No, no, this couldn't be happening. I was getting fat. I was going to lose everything. I couldn't believe this. No, I let myself get out of control.

“Karoline?” My doctor asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah, sorry, I was thinking.”

“Alright, well, you are right on track. I am really proud of you, just keep doing what you are doing. Your blood pressure is almost back to normal. Your hair is getting thicker. You’re getting more and more healthy everyday. We are going to change your diet, just a little bit. We are moving you from 1000 to 1200. Are you sure that you don’t want your mom in here with you. It will make it easier.”
