I send a silent prayer up to god that Kayla wins this. I weave through the crowed to get next to her car.
"Good luck baby girl." I say and press a kiss to her temple
"Yeah, I'm gonna need it." She smiles
"Now remember, you're goin' from zero to a hundred in a matter of seconds, press the button labeled N0S and you'll have this in the bag, based on the tires of the other car, they're going to spin out in seconds." Dom explains
"Letty's waiting for you at the end of the road." Brian says
"Okay, everyone off the streets, we gotta get this goin'." Tej shouts
Everyone moves back and Tej does his thing.
"Ready!" He yells at both cars
They rev the engines and the flag waves. They take off and Dom was right, the black car has a late start but soon catches up. I watch as Kayla's car shoots forward as she hits the N0S.
Kane
"And on tonight's headline, street racing in Raleigh North Carolina."
"How the hell is that a headline?" I ask out loud
"Baby, I know your frustrated that they haven't come back yet, maybe they're just finding themselves again, or needed to get away." Kate tells me
"But this street race is suspected to be a crew taking down a drug ring." The reporter says
Up pops a clip of the street race. A purple car and a black car.
"Dominic Toretto and his crew have been asked by the government to take down this drug ring because they blend in better." And with that I turn the TV off
