She came out with the pregnancy stick and says with a nervous smile, "Its positive".
3 months later Bethany's POV
I laid on my back, letting the cool, icy creamy gel be rubbed against my baby bump. I stared at the small blue screen in the corner of the plain beige room. I was ready for the results I was dying to know and I could tell by the way Luke's hand held mine, he was too. The doctor left the room for a quick minute and came back with a stern from "Bethany, my apologies but it seems like it will take about a couple of hours to realize its a boy or a girl were not sure why, but it seems that the child has both female parts and male parts. In no way is the child both a male and female, we just need to go into technical stuff about your altra sound. You can go home we will call you in a couple of hours".
A couple hours later.. Bethany's POV
I sat there with Luke on his couch waiting for my mom to get out of the bathroom, it was time to tell her about my baby. I am only 3 months and Im not that noticeable, it also helps that I have been wearing way too big sweatshirts lately. Im graduating next month anyway she shouldn't be that mad. My mom comes out of the bathroom and Luke and I both stand up, "mom we have to tell you something".
She smiles like Im kidding and said "please tell me you dont have herpes".
I manage to smile glad that I dont and say nervously "no I dont, mom, well Im not going to try and ease into it, mom Im p". I was about to say the sentence I was dreading when we hear the front door open, with a quick breeze escaping into the house. My dad walked in with a quick smile to me and my mom when my mom gave him a stern look. "James, I believe our daughter has something to tell us".
