Chapter 35

Bethany's  POV

Kane and I walked hand in hand through the mall looking through windows and munching on the best pretzels in the world. We were just talking, being normal people having a normal conversation, its been a while since I could just be a normal girl. I started laughing as Kane said something before I saw the store I was looking for Forever 21! I practically jumped through the non existing door as I heard an attractive laugh come from behind me. I started looking at all the cute jackets on a silver rack when I felt a presence behind me. "Yes", I said pretending to be annoyed. "Umm Bethany  I don't know how to tell you this but umm those jackets aren't going to fit you, sorry sweetie". I smiled embarrisingly, "oh yeah I forgot about this thing", I pointed at the huge baby bump. I made my way over to the maternity section, there were no cute jackets, not even any cute shirts just plain flowy ones. I decided on a couple shirts that were decent and headed into the dressing room. "I swear there is no room in these things", I whispered to myself. I looked in the long mirror in front of me before I walked out again, modeling for Kane.

"You look gorgeous". He smiled a toothy grin.

"You would say that no matter what I was wearing".

"True, I don't know why your even buying more maternity clothes you're supposed to be due any day now".

"Ya but I was also supposed to be due a week and 2 days ago, I don't know when there going to pop out", I smiled.

I walked back into the dressing room trying on a couple more shirts before I decided on 2, a yellow one, and a pastel pink one. We walked to the counter and I pulled out my wallet before Kane could pay. We spent most of the rest of the day shopping and just enjoying each others company. I got in the car as Kane loaded the backseat with my crap, I felt bad for him but I would just get in the way if I tried to help he drove me home as we sang in the car together. What the freaking perfect day ever!
I jumped out and immediately opening the back seat, grabbing two plastic bags until I felt a soft hand grab my wrist and pull me away.

"Bethany you go inside I'll take care of this".

I smiled thinking how am I so lucky. I unlocked my front door and stumbled over to my couch before I turned on the Big Bang Theory. I felt a tang in my stomach as Kane closed the door behind him after carrying in the bags, he walked upstairs to put the stuff in my room. I felt the pain again and couldn't control my wail "Oooohhh OW OW OW". I was on my feet now trying to calm myself down. I could hear Kane's frantic footsteps as he ran down the stairs.

"Bethany whats wrong are you hurt are you okay". He had a surprisingly calm but frantic tone.

I didn't have to respond as water quickly slid down my leg. He carried me to the car bridal style and raced to the hospital.
