Only Time Will Tell

Chapter 36

Luke POV

I call to the kitchen "Cal Can you bring me a slice pretty pretty pretty please"?

"No you lazy bum come get it yourself".

I stumble over to the pizza box making sure to stick my tongue out at Cal as I walk by. I come and lay in Ash's lap as we laugh over The Bing Bang Theory. I suddenly have an urge to pee so I walk down the hallway and right across from Michael's room I open the bathroom door. I hear beside you randomly as I wash my hands but it stops and I hear "Hello, oh umm yes hold on". Ashton hands me the phone.

Phone Convo

Hello?

Umm yes is this Luke?

Ya?

Umm well Bethany  wanted me to call you we think its time.

O my Gosh are you freakin serious!? Okay I'll be there

I hung up the phone not wasting any time and grabbed my jacket. "Hold on mate". I turn around to see all the guys staring at me. "Where are you going"? "Bethany's  ready its time". "Bloody hell lets go", Michael yelled. We all piled into the car and drove to the closest hospital

We entered the glass hospital and I about tripped running up to the front desk, it was the same hospital as before, I looked over at the waiting room and shivered. The guys didn't ask any questions as we ran to her room were she  layed white as snow and clenching that fellow Kane's hand. I couldn't pull the look of disgust off of my face as I stared at them, a nurse came in with black and white scrubs and stopped in the doorway looking at the 7 people in the tiny room and gasped, "Which one of you is the farther to the children"? I quickly but awkwardly raised my hand. "Everyone else can wait in the room outside". The room suddenly got more spacious as Bethany's  hand unclenched his. I ran over to her side and immediately grabbed her hand surprisingly she grabbed mine back maybe even harder then she grabbed Kane's. I whispered my voice soft and smooth "How are you doing love".

"Im okay". There was a silence that took over the room. "Listen Luke, I know its not the right time but Im glad you came". She was interrupted by a contraction that led more nurses and doctor into the room one by one Bethany was clenching my hand tighter now she's screaming in pain as I see a head slowly come through. Soon a babies scream enters the world and a baby girl is born the nurses go wash her up as she  gets prepared for the next one. Besides the circumstances we talk about life catching each other up on how we are doing I swear before this we were as close as strangers not even knowing everything about each other. I even managed to make her smile a couple times, the smile that I have missed so much. We were yet again interrupted as contractions started up and screams filled the room first of Bethany's  then of the baby boy's, Mason.

The nurse with the black and white scrubs from before came in holding the two little bundle of joys, one covered with a blue blanket the other with a pink one. She took them over to us. Izzy already had a head full of blonde hair but Mason was practically bald besides little bunches of brown. I smiled as I could already see the resemblance we invited the guys back in one by one since thats all the nurse would allow. They all got to hold the baby and congratulates us but when Kane came in, my stomach swallowed itself. He came in smiling his gorgeous retarded smile and kissed Bethany on the cheek. He didn't say much though but Bethany  did she always wants people to get along thats what I love about her so much.
