Chapter 37

Luke POV

2 weeks later....

I sit in the court room alone, I came 15 minutes early for really nothing in particular just to grasp my thoughts about whats happening. Since Bethany and I are no longer a couple we have to decide officially about who gets custody at what times and so forth. Thoughts again fill my head about Mason and Izzy growing up and thinking of Kane as there 2nd dad, maybe when they get into school they wont even pick me for parent day or whatever they will pick Kane instead. My thoughts were interrupted by the slam of a heavy door behind me I glanced back, spotting a woman with dark skin and even darker hair with light purple glasses pressed against her face, she made her way to the judge spot in the middle. My interne entered next even though I tried to tell them I didn't need one he insisted. Then Bethany came in without the babies and she looked maybe even more skinny and beautiful then before she gave labor which until now I thought was impossible. Finally Bethany's interne entered and we begin. The judge started asking the questions about us having a solid career with both of us answering no, I mean were both just 18. She asked about our living conditions which I live now in an apartment with Calum and Bethany is still living at home. Then she asked one of the final questions that made my heart skip a beat I watched as her the words somehow were spoken in slow motion. "Are either of you married or in relationship?" I looked nervously to Bethany as I spoke the words I was embarrassed to say because the answer was no and Bethany's was the opposite.

"Umm No", I whimpered. The woman looked at Bethany, waiting for a reply

"No" She said strongly I felt my heart start beating faster then I thought it was capable of as questions started feeling my mind. What happened with her and Kane? Did they break up because she still loves me or was it because of Mason and Izzy?

Bethany's POV *Flash Back*

I sat in the front seat of Kane's car as he drove me home from a simple dinner and a movie. He pulled up in my drive way and slowly walked me up to my front door. He leaned in for a good night kiss but my conscience told me to stop. I put my hand up to his lips, pushing them away. "Good Night", I whispered. He took a hold of my wrist, pulling me back to him.

"Bethany you seem a little off tonight is everything okay"?

"Ya its fine why do you ask"

"Well for starters you barely spoke 5 words to me all night and now whatever that was just happened"

"Im sorry I just have been distracted lately and tired, I guess"

"You Guess"? I stood there ignoring the question in front of my face, we stood there in silence

"Is this because of Luke"? I remained quite

"IS IT, I ASKED YOU A QUESTION"?

"No Im just....frustrated and tired and worked up about everything I mean Im 18 and I have 2 kids and Im trying to get a diploma and finish college, you know that" We stood in akward silance

"Bethany..........I have a confession...Iv been seeing someone else while you've been at school and I know that isn't right but she just makes me happier and I wanted to tell you tonight at dinner but it didn't come up in conversation-" I caught him off

"IT DIDN'T COME UP IN FREAKING CONVERSATION WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO SAY OHH KANE BY THE WAY HAVE YOUVE BEEN SEEING SOMEONE WHILE I HAVE BEEN AT SCHOOL BECAUSE I WAS SNOOPING ON HER BLOG AND HAHAH YOU KNOW CHECKING YOUR TEXTS AND STUFF", I made my best impression of a 14 year old girl.
UNTIL NOW I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF CHECKING THROUGH YOUR PHONE BECAUSE I TRUSTED YOU BUT NOW THERES NO REASON TOO BECAUSE WERE DONE!"

"Bethany baby please don't do this"

"So after you just told me you were seeing someone else and that she made you happier then I did you expect me to stay with you"? I didn't let him respond as I slammed my front door in his face. Besides the object at hand there was only one person I wanted to call.
