Chapter 3: Training

Hello everyone. This is Amanda. Here is the 3rd chapter of True Friends. I won't be able to write for a while so this chapter will be long. Also tell me who Samantha should hook up with. Love to hear your guys thoughts. I DON'T OWN FAIRY TAIL!!!-------------------------------------------------------

Samantha P.O.V

Faith sure is on my side these days. I mean even though it's only been 3 days since I've joined Fairy Tail, I just have a feeling this will be a great start over. I now live with Lucy until I find an apartment. Natsu's become my older brother. He adopted me just like that. Master Makorov is like a father but I like him as a grandfather better. I've made tons of new friends. But the great thing is I'm on my way to the guild now to start learning magic.

I walk into the guild with tons of people greeting me. Then Erza walks up to me. "Are you ready for your training Sammy?" She asks.

"You bet." I reply excited. This is the moment I've dreamed for. When I get to use magic and go on jobs. Then maybe become S-class. I can hardly wait.

"Someone sure is excited." Lucy points out. I just nod my head.

"So what you going to teach me?" I asks curiously.

"Well first you need to understand how to control and contain your magic power." Gray replies. It sounds easy enough. I think.

"So let's go now." Natsu says grabbing my hand and running outside. He seems more excited than me. I giggle at his actions. We all stop near an open field. It's so beautiful.

"To start off. What magic do you want to use?" Lucy asks. What magic? Guess I've never really thought about it. Since we're on a field maybe earth magic.

"Earth magic." I reply.

"Okay. Now first sit down and relax." Erza instructs me. So I sit down on the grass and relax.

"Next close your eyes and take slow breathes. Become one with nature." Gray instructs. So I close my eyes and empty my mind. I start to inhale and exhale very slowly. I start to think about the earth. Rocks, dirt, flowers, mud, water, and air. I then feel a rush of breeze circle around me.

"Just like that." Erza assures me. So I continue thinking about the land and nothing else. Until I hear a voice in my head say 'Your going to be the reason they die. Your the reason the earth will be destroyed.' So I immediately open my eyes losing my concentration and breathing heavily.

"You okay Sammy?" Natsu asks rubbing my back.

"Yeah." I lie. What a weird voice. Why would they say that?

"You did great on controlling your movements and containing power. Now let's move onto spells." Lucy says.

"Try these spells out." Erza says while handing me a piece if paper. I look through the paper in search for a defense spell I can use. Then I come across rock wall.

"Got one!" I yell out happily.

"Then try it out." Natsu says impatiently. I just nod my head. It's time to see what I can do.

"Rock Shield!" I cast. Before I know it rocks form in front of me creating a shield. I did it! I think happily. Then the rocks disappear with me stopping the spell.

"Great job Sammy. I knew you could do it." Natsu says while patting my head.

"Yes. Great in deed. Especially for a first-timer. Now let's kick things up a notch." Erza says.

"How?" I ask curiously.

"You have to cast a star and moon spell out of this book and try to attack us with it. If you hit one of us then we'll continue your earth magic. But if it does not... well... let's just say you have to keep on trying." Lucy replies.

"Oh. So it's like a test?" I ask.

"Basically." Gray replies casually.

"Alright then I except your challenge!" I yell while snatching the book out of Lucy's hand.

Well that's it for chapter 3. Will Samantha be able to handle this test? What will happen to her? Find out in the next chapter.
