Riley's P.O.V.

"We can do this. Let's not fuck it up", I said looking up at Scarlett. That was one hell of a mad run.

"Yeah yeah, now that we have challenged those losers. They aren't even worth our time. Why did we even decide to battle with those rats? Pretty sure they will chicken out by tomorrow morning." Scarlett grumbled in annoyance.

"Yup, they didn't even know how to escape! I swear to god, they jump into stuff even without having an escape plan."

Scarlett and I thought of a devious plan for tomorrow's prank as we walked towards the auditorium to bid our parents farewell. Thankfully no one caught us and on the way, the two boys disappeared into the washrooms.

As we saw our parents' worried faces, we were for sure going to get an earful from them. " Riley and Scarlett, is this how long you take to come back from the washroom? I heard that someone pulled the fire alarm. And I really hope it wasn't the two of two", my father said.

I sometimes looked at his greying hair and thought that maybe half of them appeared early because of me.

I shook my head. "No dad. I swear it wasn't us. But we did see two boys walking out before us."

My dad laughed and held out his hand. "Remember the lighter you snagged from the house? It is about time you returned it back."

I groaned and fished it out of my pocket. "We wanted it as a memory, Mr. Haven", Scarlett said innocently.

Before my dad could continue, her dad cut it. "Ok, you guys are going to support each other throughout your boarding school life. That was the reason as to why we sent you here together. Any problems, please contact us, Just no more pranks girls."

After what seemed like hours of saying goodbye and wiping away each other's tears, Scar and I decided to go to our allocated rooms. We were excited but also nervous because we were going to meet new roommates. Unfortunately, we couldn't be in the same room due to the lack of trust of our fathers in us.

They thought that we would wreak havoc if we lived in a room together, which is kind of true. I let out a silent giggle even just thinking about it.

When we reached our building, before stepping in, we let out a deep breath that we didn't know we were holding in. We entered and we saw a number of rooms to our left and also numerous girls were running everywhere.

It was utter chaos.

Scar and I exchanged looks and contemplated on our decision as to coming here. We drearily dragged our feet to our respective rooms.

Thank god, at least our rooms were beside each other. We glanced at each other, gave an everlasting smile and a hug to each other. Ok, it may seem like we were long lost lovers who weren't willing to separate from each other.

But we had been together since 3rd grade. That's almost seven years of our life together!

Entering my room, I saw two beds arranged neatly against the opposite walls. Two study tables aligned neatly on either side of the window. There were two cupboards on one side of the room side by side and on the opposite side there was a bathroom.

I immediately placed my bags on my bed and ran towards the window that looked towards the vast ground behind.

"Wow, the scenery was amazing!" I let out a gasp causing my jaw to drop.

It was the most picturesque view I had ever seen.

This was way better than the view back at home which looked straight into another house and on more than one occasion I have seen the guy in front of the computer typing with only one hand and his other hand was elsewhere.
