I walked home, smiling. I didn't wanna leave but i had to get home to see my dad. After 15 minutes of walking back home i finally made it.
I opened the door to the house to see my mom sobbing on the couch, head in her hands.
"M-mom what's wrong?" I asked slowly approaching her.
"Lilia, your fathers dead." She said, i froze. i couldn't breathe, couldn't think, couldn't move. I was shocked.
"What how?" I asked
"I don't know, he's just dead." She said clearly looking me, i walked over to her and sat on the couch she pulled me into a hug. I felt no emotion with my dads death, of course i loved my dad no matter what even though he put me through some shit but still he was my dad.
A couple hours later after getting the devastating news about my fathers death, i decided to meet up with the crew.
"Hey Guys." i said
"Hey Lilia" They all said at the same time, i gave off the small smirk nothing more.
"What's wrong?" JJ asked sitting next to me
"Oh um nothing" i chuckled trying not to let the tears fall from my cheeks.
"No Lilia something's wrong, this isn't you. your just sitting there, you'd usually be popping open your 4th beer by now or smoking" Pope said
"My dad he's um" I whispered, a tear rolled down my freckled cheek. I felt the crew exchange looks.
"he's what?" Kie asked, silence fell as i worked up the strength to say the sentence i never wanted to hear.
"Dead, he's dead" I blurted out, they all looked at me before comforting me.
"This is so shitty." JJ shouted, i wiped the tears from my eyes looking up at him.
"What?" I asked
"This all of it, you fight to come back home because you weren't happy where you were, you come back and your dad dies it's like you can't escape." He explained, I looked at the other three and we all shared the same facial expression.
"JJ it's okay, i'll recover. Everything has a reason" I said sniffling in between the words, Sarah pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry." She whispered
"It's not your fault. It was probably for the best." I said to her, my green eyes staring at the ground. I may have had problems with Sarah but that was the past she was dating my best friend so i had to deal with it anyways.
After a couple hours of talking, drinking, laughing a couple of us fell asleep. I woke up a summer breeze hitting me face. My eyes fluttered open to see a view of the sky on lit up by the stars and the moon, we fell asleep outside on the hammocks. I shifted over to see JJ right next to me, John B and Sarah, Pope and Kie in the following view. I snuggled back into his side and fell back asleep.
•The Next Day•
I woke up to the groans of my friends, my eyes opened up, i quickly covered them from the blinding sun.
"Holy Shit" John B groaned
"What?" I asked, squinting to look at him.
"I can't believe we all fell asleep out here." He said, i chuckled.
"If i'm being honest it was relaxing" JJ added, i turned my head to face him and we both shared a smile.
"I agree" The rest off them said.
We all walked inside.
"I should probably get home, i'll see you guys later." I yelled through the house, walking out the door.
"Bye!" They all said, i walked outside and JJ pulled me to the side.
"You sure you okay?" He said
"Yes JJ, Positive" I smiled, he quickly kissed me on the lips before running inside, i began walking away smiling and laughing.
