Chapter 2- The Pogues

The outerbanks, "paradise on earth" it's the sort of place where you either have two jobs or two houses. Two tribes, one island.

There's figure 8, the rich side of the island home of the kooks, making it pretty obvious that's where we don't live.

Then there's the southside also known as the cut, home of the working class, who make a living busting tables, washing yachts, running charters, and the natural habitat of drumroll please, The Pogues, thats us.

Pogues, Pogies, Throwaway Fish, Lowest Member of the food chain, but anyway the downside of Pogue life is we're ignored and neglected but the upside of Pogue life is we're ignored and neglected which means we do whatever we want, whenever we want. I'll tell you a little bit about the crew.

First Up we have JJ and he's about as local as they come. Latest in the long line of Drinking, Fishing, Smuggling,
Ven-Detta Holding salt-lifers who made their living off the water. He's probably the best surfer I know, but I keep that to myself because it's for the best.

Next is Kiara Or Kie is what we call her, my BestFriend. When she's not saving turtles, listening to Marley, or getting a Dolphin tattoo she hangs out with us, We're not sure why though, she's a rich kid actually, with her foot in both worlds. Her family owns The Wreck outerbanks institution. Total cash cow for tourists. Her parents aren't really sure about us, Well Kiara said they love me but we aren't sure how they feel about the boys.

There's Pope and he's the brains in the operation of finalist for the Lucas T. Vanderhorst Merit Scholarship, also the smartest person I know. His father is this legendary character Heyward. Anything you wanted on the island heyward could get it for you.

And Then there's John B, John B I guess you can say the leader of the group, definitely the most serious I mean he's still really funny and knows how to have fun but he definitely knows his shit. John B's dad got lost at Sea nine months ago looking for a ship wreck, his mom spilt when he was three and I knew he was close to his dad. About three months into the search of his dad they claimed he was dead, John B never lost hope, He refuses to believe his dads actually gone until he sees proof.

& Then there's me Lilia Jones, but I go by Lili for short. Just like Kiara My parents are rich and live in Figure Eight, if I'm being honest I hate it. I'm a Pogue and that's who I choice to hang out with, My parents aren't a fan but like I said Pogues do whatever they what whenever they want. I don't get along with my parents the best but I still love them of course. I'm barely home I'm either always at John B's or At Kiaras. I had sun kissed skin, light green eyes, freckles sprinkled across my nose and honey colored brown wavy hair.

But yeah that's my crew.
