I walked into the house looking around for my mom.
"Mom?" I called out walking towards her room, i found her sitting on her bed on the phone surrounded by personal information and papers. She held out a finger signaling me to be quiet.
"Okay i'll just get everything sorted out by tomorrow." She said to the person on the phone, I watched her take the phone of her ear and look at me.
"What's going on?" I asked sitting next to her
"Just getting stuff for your fathers funeral, that's all." She replied putting the papers back in a folder.
"Are you okay? You look not so good" I said handing her papers to put away.
"Yes i'm fine, i just couldn't sleep." She sighed running her fingers through her hair, we both got silent i coughed awkwardly and ran upstairs to my room.
I opened the door, gently grabbing the picture of my dad that was on my night stand. Like i said before i know my dad was an asshole but i loved him and i missed him, i felt like it was my fault. A tear rolled down my cheek i quickly wiped it away and put the picture back on my nightstand. I paced back and forth around my room for no reason, i was stopped when a text message appeared on my phone.
Next Message: Kiaraaa
"Hey Lilia, Meet at The Wreck 7pm okay?" Her message read
"You Got It." I replied, i looked at the time before shutting off my phone it was only 1pm so i still had along time. I decided to take a walk around the town to get my mind of everything and also to kill sometime.
I walked around by myself, i was stopped by the one and only person i didn't wanna see. Rafe Cameron.
"Well Hi Lilia" He said
"Hi Rafe" I replied picking up the pace and walking faster.
"Why don't you talk to me anymore?" He asked
"I don't know, just don't communicate with many people anymore." I answered his question
"So what do you do now just act like what we had wasn't special?" He said grabbing my arm
"Goddamnit Rafe, you had a thing with almost every Girl in figure eight why come to me with this bullshit?" I hissed
"Because you just left off left us like nothing happened." He said once again
"Rafe is was just a kiss. that's it. A Kiss." I shouted pulling from his grip.
"Just A Kiss" He mocked also adding laughter to it.
"your so-" I was cut off my him
"So What Lilia?" He asked cutting me off, i tried walking away faster but still he caught up "Listen Princess i'm not here to start shit with your little pogue boyfriend but i need answers."
"Rafe please don't do this." I begged
"Just answer it Lilia."
"Rafe i just wasn't in love with you okay? Stuff doesn't always work out with how you want it to alright?" I yelled he took his hand off my arm and laughed awkwardly
"Yeah your right. You play everyone Lilia, that's what sluts do right." He hissed
"your fucked up Rafe, go to hell." I hissed back walking away, i decided to go home since the incident of what just happened i was pissed.
Rafe Cameron couldn't get over his self over one kiss. Me and Rafe kissed at Midsummer One Year Ago and started a 'relationship' we both acted like we cared and were serious but we both knew it was just for fun and we didn't actually want anything to do with eachother, of course we didn't say that to eachother but we both knew it and confessed up to it after we both knew it wasn't gonna work.
I walked Home and eventually got there, i'm guessing i did kill time because it was 5pm so i decided to get ready and just wait, I took a quick shower throwing my loose brown curls in a messy bun, throwing on a random band t-shirt and some shorts with my white converse.
I laid in bed until 6:30pm and decided i'd go ahead and leave.
"Bye Mom" I said walking out the door, I jumped into my car and started it waiting a second for the cold air through the vents to get started. I drove to the wreck where i saw the van so i'm guessing everyone else was there.
"Hey Guys" I said approaching the group who was sitting down discussing a conversation.
"Hey Lils" They replied, My attention caught John B's arm which was in a cast.
"John B what happened?" I asked pointing to his arm
"Topper pushed me and i took a pretty hard fall broke my arm." He replied looking down at it. They continued their conversation. I tried to catch on to what they were talking about but i couldn't until Pope informed me.
"John B is currently staying with the Cameron's." He said my eyes widened
"Holy Shit, A pogue staying with the Kooks of The Kookiest?" I questioned in disbelief
"Ouch, i don't know if that's good or bad" Sarah said putting a hand over her heart acting like it hurt her.
"It shouldn't, don't worry it doesn't count if i'm a kook to i guess" I replied we both chuckled and began listening to the crew again.
They started talking about how they needed to get the rest of the gold.
"How about tomorrow morning?" Kie asked
"Sounds good" We all agreed
"You can't-" Sarah said to John B
"What? why can't he?" I asked curiously
"I have to go fishing with Ward tomorrow" He answered nervously
"You can't get 4 mil because your gonna kill fish?" Kie asked
"Look, i have to go." He said
"Blow it off, it's 400 million in gold." Pope said
"Make something up" I suggested
"Look, i have to okay?" He replied
"Whatever you say chief" I scoffed.
