Chapter Six
**I forgot to mention this in the last chapter before I updated, but there's a little patio thing in Louis’ room that has steps that lead to the ground**
“I can’t believe we don’t get signal!” Niall complained breathing heavily as he flops down on the couch. He lays the arm that’s clutching his phone over his eyes and pouts.
“Awe, come on, Nialler… phones aren’t everything!” Zayn says, trying to cheer him up. He ruffles Niall's hair and chuckles as Niall lazily waves him off.
“Well, actually, I kind of agree…” I say, looking towards my feet. I'm wearing un-matched socks, one red, one blue, one knee high and one ankle high.
Harry's eyebrows wiggle. “Missing someone?”
“No,” I say, “Someone’s missing me,” and I stick my tongue out. Harry just smiles evilly and lays his head back down on the floor.
“Wanna go explore?” Liam asks us. I nod, Niall jumps up and beams, Harry just lays still and Zayn grunts approvingly.
“Harry..? What're you gonna do then?” I ask, walking to stand above him. He's closed his eyes, and when I nudge his side with my foot his mouth twitches. “Harry? Hazza? Hello?” no answer. I lean down slowly and suck a breath in to blow in his face, when suddenly his head shoots up and he kisses my nose. I reel back in shock but by the time I gain control of myself again the curly bastard is nowhere to be seen.
“Did you just see that?” I ask the other lads who are laughing loudly. Except for Liam. He just looks… bored. Thoughtful. He's been doing that more often…
“If he had been a little off on his aim you could’ve swallowed his lips!” Niall giggles hysterically.
“Ha. Ha, ha, ha. Ha. Let’s go,” I say dryly and grab Liam by his wrist, tugging him to the entry way. Niall and Zayn follow, Zayn trying to keep Niall calm.
We all get on our shoes and head out. It’s a bit warmer and close to dark, so we grab some flashlights just in case. Liam and I walk next to each other, leaving Niall and Zayn behind us. After we've been walking for about ten minutes, we've gone pretty far in a straight line in the woods and it’s almost dark.
“It’s getting dark… maybe we should head back…” I suggest nervously, looking around. Being in the middle of new territory- let alone woods- and at night just doesn’t settle well with me.
“Have you seen Zayn? Or Niall?” Liam asks me, and I look behind us to see… trees. And darkness. And… eyes!?
“N-No, not since we left… do they have a flashlight?” no, not eyes… just something… shiny… and in a pair… “Let’s head back, they can find their way…”
“No, Lou, we need to find them first,”
“What if they already headed back and we just didn’t realize? Once we get back to the cabin, we’ll see if they're there. If not, we’ll go searching with more equipment. Sound good?” I ask, feeling more paranoid than ever. I snap my gaze away from the ‘eyes’ and towards Liam, who still looks unsure. “Please?”
“Ugh… fine, we’ll head back. But if they aren’t there, we are going to look for them. Right away,”
“Got it,” I say and smile gratefully, if not worried. They usually don’t stray away from us… maybe I'm glad that Harry didn’t come with. He would’ve gotten lost within the first ten seconds.
We slowly make our way back, flashlights going every which way and ears tuned to hear any sounds. Every so often I feel eyes on me, so I casually put the beam in that direction, never to see anything.
