xviii • pepperment vs. plant, shortened version

(Name) waved at Midoriya as he entered the prep room, he returned the wave with a closed-eyed smile. Seconds later, the door closed, queuing for the individual to leave. They began walking back to the student section, after this round, it was them who would be battling Iida to see who would make it to the semifinals. The thought made the individual's emotions from the beginning of the Sports Festival change from anxious to confident.

Returning back to their class, (Name) sat back in their seat, right next to Yaomomo, Jiro(u), and Tsuyu. Expect, instead of them being there, it was Ashido, a pink haired girl who's also an alien queen in disguise, Kaminari, and Kirishima, a spikey haired redhead. The trio all happily greeted the individual.

"Hello." (Name) replies, a small chuckle exits their mouth. "You guys enjoying the festival?"

"Yeah!"

"Good! You guys battled along with Bakugo(u), right?" (Name) asked, Kirishima and Ashido nodded, "You guys were good."

"Thanks! Bakugo(u)'s not the best team player, which I think is very obvious, but I'll give the credit for having the determination." Kirishima states, "Very manly."

The quads' chitchat was interrupted by the crowd of people getting excited when Todoroki and Midoriya entered the stadium. Sounds were so bad, made you want to rip off your ears.

"At this year's sports festival, both have shown top class performances!" Present Mic talks loudly in the intercom, Midoriya and Todoroki put themselves fighting poses, readying for the ready from Present Mic, "START!"

An explosion cause the audience to loose sight of Midoriya and Todoroki, confusion all around. Once the smoke cleared, Todoroki's gym uniform was ripped, he was the only one in bounds, but (Name) looks around, trying to find sight of Midoriya. The green haired boy was up against the wall, and then after a few seconds, he fell to the ground, unconscious.

"M-Midoriya is out of bounds.." Midnight says.

(Name) runs down from their seat, towards the bottom of the student section, from their point of view, they could see that her friend's arm was purple. They put a hand over their mouth, before slowly backing away from the edge of the stands, they rush out of there, heading towards the infirmary.

With some classmates, Asui, Iida, Uraraka, and Mineta following (Name) to see Midoriya, the gang heads down there together to see their local homeboy.

"Izu!"

"Deku!"

"Midoriya!"

"You're all so noisy." Recovery Girl sighs.

"That match earlier was scary, Midoriya!" Mineta says, the grapist sweating.

"Be quiet, now!"

"..uh, sorry, Recovery Girl."
(Name) said as them, their friends, and Mineta were pushed out by Recovery Girl.

(Name) round was next, the opponent is Iida, if they won this round, they'd go against Todoroki, but they can't let that distract her. The thought did make them nervous, but they did their best to stop it from spreading.

"Aizawa!"

(Name) turned around, there stood Iida, the class president walked over towards them.

"Yeah?"

"I wish you luck, even though we are going against one another, may the last one be standing."

"You too, Iida."
