A week had passed and I still had t told Colby. In fact I was making sure I did t run Into him. In class I never made eye contact with him and after class I didn't hang around. I was shoving my history text book in my locker so I didn't have to take it home when,

Slam

I jumped a little and look to my right.

"Why aren't you talking to me?!" If was Colby

"I uhhh,"

"Mack come on just tell me. I know you're hiding something, just tell me. Please,"

The look in his eyes held a sad emotion. As if he was weak inside and letting me get to him.

I sighed

"You really want to know?"

"Yes Mack!"

I sighed again

"Okay but promise me that you won't call me a freak,"

"I would never!"

I looked around to make sure no one could overhear me.

"I have a disease called hypocalcemia. Basically it means that I get dehydrated easier and that I'll pass out,"

"Oh that's horrible," he said before pulling me into a hug "Why would I ever call you a freak for that?"

"I dunno, just fear I guess,"

"I'd never do that to you,"

"Never?"

"Never ever,"
