Mack's pov

Colby and I were walking back up my house because neither of us had a car. Luckily I didn't live to to far.

"Colby putting the milk before cereal is atrocious,"

"Okay okay slow your role miss big fancy words,"

"Well it is!"

"Not!"

"Colby it is horrendous,"

"Again with the big words,"

"Not my fault you have the vocabulary of a potato chip,"

"Not my fault you have the vocabulary of a rocket scientist,"

"I do not Colby. I just have a higher vocabulary than the emo boy on my left,"

"Hmmm there's no one on your left. So you have a higher vocabulary than nobody?"

"Colby you're on my left," he look at me and then it hit him. "Oh my god Colby did you forget which side you were on?"

"...maybe,"

I started into a fit of laughter. I caught a glance at Colby who had a light tint of red in his cheeks. It quickly went away

"It's not funny Mack," he said playfully

"Yes it is,"

"It really ain't,"

"Ain't? Seriously Colby," I said before laughing again

"Okay okay you can stop laughing at me now,"

"Okay okay I'm sorry," I said

"Good," he said grabbing my hand

"See I have your left hand so I know I'm on the left side this time,"

"Oh look your IQ just went up a level,"

We both started laughing after I said that.

We eventually got to my house and colby still hadn't let go of my hand. We walked inside and of course no one was home.

"What do you wanna do?" I asked flopping on the couch

"I dunno," he replied "movie?"

"Nah we do that to much," I shook off the idea

"True,"

"Wanna bake brownies?" I shrugged

"Um yes!" He screamed running to the kitchen and following that, a thud with an "ow!" Not even a second later

I went into the kitchen to see a colby laying on the floor laughing.

"Did you fall?"

"No," he replied still laughing "I slipped, there's a difference Mack,"

"Sure there is," I stuck out my hand for him to grab

He went to pull himself up but I wasn't ready so I fell and I fell ontop of him. We started laughing again but when my eyes opened a bit I noticed how pink his face was. I didn't dwell on it to much.

"Hey thanks for breaking my fall," I said getting up and brushing off my jeans

"You're welcome?" He said more a question

"Yes," I replied walking away leaving a very confused Colby behind me
