-Mitch-
I've been working at Starbucks for over 2 months now. I really like working as a barista. I have found my love for coffee, but haven't given up tea either. Scott can try all he wants to but you can't take the tea out of the Brit.
"Scott! I love you!" I yelled to him as I made my way out of the door. I almost closed it when it swung back open.
"Wait." He brought me in for a kiss. "Can't leave without your kiss." He smiled at me and I pecked his lips again.
"I love you Scott!" I yelled from the stairs.
"I love you too Brit!"

I walked into Starbucks and found Kirstie. We've become close friends, "Hey Kirst." I gave her a smile as she made a drink."Hey Mitchell. How's your morning going?"
"Fine, fine. You alright?"
"Yeah I'm good. Slept like a baby last night."
"That's good to hear." All of a sudden I felt sick so I rushed to the bathroom.
I threw up in the toilet twice before making my way back to the counter, "You okay, Mitch?" Kirstie asked.
"I'm fine. I just got sick all of a sudden."
"Oh no. Maybe you're pregnant." She smiled at me but I thought about it for a minute. Oh no, "Mitch I'm kidding. Don't freak out."
"No it makes sense now Kirst. I've been throwing up like almost every morning this week. Oh my god."
She came over to me and sat me down, "Honey. I think you need to see a doctor. You would wanna make sure before you make any assumptions. And don't say anything to Scott until you know for sure."
"Got it. I can't go by myself though."
"I'll go with you. Today after shift?" She asked with a smile.
"Sounds good. Thanks."

"Hi Mitch. You're here to get an ultrasound, right?" The doctor asked."I am, yes. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant. I need to find out."
"Alright. Are you married?"
"Engaged."
"Who's this?" She asked, pointing to Kirstie.
"My friend. Fiancé is at home."
"Well, you may go home today and tell him you're pregnant so let's get started." She lifted up my shirt a little and put some substance on it.
"Oh that's cold." I said when it hit my stomach. She smiled at me and rubbed the wand over my stomach.
"Pay attention. You should be able to see a baby." I looked closely at the screen but didn't see anything. I sighed and looked down before Kirstie nudged me.
"Right there." She said, pointing to the bottom of the screen. The doctor moved the wand to the bottom of my stomach and pointed to a small figure on the screen.
"There it is." She switched a button on the monitor and a heart beat starting playing. I realized it was coming from my stomach.
"I'm pregnant." I whispered to myself.
"You are honey! Congratulations!" I smiled wide at her as she wiped off my stomach and I got up. The doctor said she would print off the pictures of the baby so I could show Scott proof.

I sat on the couch waiting for Mitch to get home. I jumped up when I heard the door open and then close, "Mitch. You're late hun. What happened?" He smiled at me and took off his shoes.
"I went somewhere with Kirst after work." He stood on his tip toes to kiss me and I wrapped my arms around his waist.
"I missed you." I stated. I kissed his cheek as he moved over to the couch, "What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Nothing. Why do you ask?" He said, crossing his legs on the couch.
"You seem off. Did something happen today that I should know about?" I asked, crawling over the couch to him.
"Yep. But I don't know how to tell you."
"It is bad?" I started to worry.
"No, no. Well, depending on how you feel."
"Mitch. What do you mean?" He sighed and reached into his pants pocket. My heart started to race as he handed me 3 pieces of black paper, "What are the-" I stopped mid-sentence when I realized what they were, "Baby photos? Mitch." I looked up at him. He had tears in his eyes as he looked down at his fumbling hands. I set the photos down and grabbed his hands, "Look at me."
"What?" He asked, sighing as he looked up.
"Are you pregnant, love?" He sniffled and nodded.
"Y-Yeah. I just went to the doctor after shift to find out."
"We're you curious or?"
"I've been throwing up almost every morning this week. I didn't think anything of it of course until Kirstie jokingly said I may be pregnant. Then I thought about it."
"How did it happen? We always use a condom."
"The night we got engaged." I sighed when I realized he was right.
"Mitch. It's okay. Don't worry."
"Too late." He said, wiping his tears away.
"It's okay that you're pregnant honey. We're getting married, it was bound to happen sometime."
"But that means we either have to rush and have the wedding sooner. Or wait till after the baby, which I don't wanna do."
"Rushing it then. It'll be fine hun. I promise. Just don't get stressed out. Did you make anymore appointments?"
"I have my first check up in a month. Just to see how the baby is doing." I smiled at the thought.
"Alright. Hey. I love you Brit."
"I love you too Scottland."
I leaned down and looked at Mitch's flat stomach. I placed my hands on his belly and kissed it lightly, "And I love you too little one." I kissed Mitch and picked him up, taking him to bed.
