-Scott-

Mitch has his first check up today. I'm quite excited to see the baby and hear it's tiny heart beat.

"So this is the fiancé?" The doctor asked.

Mitch nodded, "Yes it is."

"What's your name hun?" She asked me.

"Scott. So how far along is he?"

"He's about 2 months along. 8 or 9 weeks."

"Alright." She squirted the substance on his stomach and rubbed the wand over it.

I looked over at Mitch and smiled when I noticed how into the screen he was. He looked over at me and smiled, then returned back to the screen, "Scott. Look." He pointed the the screen and I looked over.

There was a tiny figure of white in the black. It was a baby. Our baby. My eyes started to tear up as the doctor turned the sound on. That tiny heart beat made mine beat so much faster.

"Scott." Mitch whispered to me. I wiped the tears off my face and looked at him. He was smiling, holding the photos of our baby. I leaned down and kissed him as the doctor cleaned off his stomach.

"What will we name our baby?" I asked Mitch in the car. I looked over at him. He was staring at the photos with such love.

"Huh?" He asked when he noticed I was staring.

"I asked what are we gonna name our baby?"

He smiled, "I don't know. I'm only 2 months along so we have time ya know. I think we should wait to figure it out."

"Alright. I was just checking."

"I know hun." He sighed and set his head back against the seat, closing his eyes, "I'm tired."

"You go to sleep when we get home. Rest up because we have plans tomorrow."

"Plans?" He looked over at me.

"Yes. I wanna do something with you tomorrow. Is that okay?" He nodded and went back to closing his eyes.

After Mitch and I got ready this morning, I took him to Starbucks for is daily filling and then we went to the store.

"Why are we at a baby store Scott?"

"We need things and I know you don't wanna get clothes or anything because we don't know the gender, but they have a lot of gender neutral stuff too."

"Alright Scott. I'm ready for this." He got out of the car and I followed him into the store.
