I was sitting in my bathtub and hugging my knees. Soft piano riffs were playing on my phone. I kept thinking about everything that happened today. Seeing the shapes, the darker colors, and the faces. I think I've finally lost it. My head started to spin and my vision blurred. I quickly put my head in between my knees and closed my eyes. Ever so slowly, the room stopped spinning. I kept my head there and just breathed.
I closed my eyes and listened to the music.
"....aaadddddyyyyyyyyyyy," a voice whispered.
I slowly looked up. No one was home and no one was in the bathroom with me.
"....aaaaaaaaddddyyyyy," it whispered again.
Frantically, I looked around the bathroom. No one. My eyes drifted to the corner near the mirror. There was a blurb forming. Slowly, it took to form of a girl. She was older than me, probably mid-twenties, she was wearing a tattered grey dress, her hair was matted and had several leaves in it. Her eyes were dark and she had tears rolling down her cheeks. But she didn't have an emotional expression on her face. It was blank.
"...help me," she said quietly.
I just stared, fear making me still. She then looked around like she was lost.
"..how do I get home? Where's my baby?" she asked frantically.
"I-I...don't know..." I whispered, shaking my head.
She turned to me and wailed. I shut my eyes and curled into a ball. She was still screaming and my head began to pound. Then it was quiet. The only sound was my heavy breathing and the piano riffs.
That's when I lost it. Tears poured down my face and I started shaking.
