Caspar's POV
I left Joe to get some rest and wondered around the hospital a while before finding the toilets.
I pushed the door open and saw Dan sat on the floor in the corner.
'Dan?'
He looked up slowly.
'Dan?' I repeated nervously.
He lifted out his arms and whispered. 'Help me Caspar. Fix me, I want to be fixed.'
My heart shattered right there onto the floor, left in a million pieces.
I sat next to him and pulled him close.
'What have you done Dan?' I said shaking my head.
'Fix me Caspar, why can't I be fixed?' He bit his lip and put his head on my shoulder.
'You don't need fixing Dan.' I told him, finding it hard to swallow, seeing him like this broke me.
'I need fixing Caspar. I need someone to put me back together, I can't do it by myself.' He replied sadly.
'You don't have to do it by yourself. Phil came looking for you by the way.' I tried to say but it came out as a whisper, as I tried not to cry.
'He did?' He asked.
'Yeah, he's still looking for you.' I told him.
'I don't care.'
'Yes you do, you know you do.' I turned towards him, and looked him in the eyes.
They were full of broken pieces of Dan.
I couldn't let him be this way.'What does he want?' Dan questioned, trying not to seem interested.
'I don't know.' I admitted. 'To talk to you..'
'Oh.' He said, closing his eyes.
As soon as Dan closed his eyes, the door slowly opened and Phil appeared looking forlorn.
'Dan?'
Dan lifted his head, eyes opening suddenly after realisation hit that it was Phil.
'What do you want?' He said annoyed.
'I want to talk to you.' Phil said, nervous that Dan wouldn't want to hear it.
'Then talk.' He told Phil, annoyed.
'Ill leave you to it.' I said softly and left to go see if Joe's awake.
Joe's POV
It's hard to sleep when there's so much going on in your head.
Mostly Caspar.
He makes me happy, really happy.
'Joe?' His voice..light, hard, soft, raspy, clear. Everything.
I smiled immediately. 'Casp.'
He wandered over and sat in the chair next to my bed.
'Hey.'
'Hey.'
'I missed you.' I said softly, grabbing his hand.
'I missed you too.' He smiled.
'How's things with Dan and Phil?' I asked, remembering the talk earlier.
'Dan asked me to fix him, he said he was broken and he couldn't do it himself.' He said sadly.
'I wish I could help him.' I said truthfully.
'Me too. I think Phil will, if Dan will let him.' He told me, hope in his eyes.
The door squeaked open.
'Hope we're not interrupting.' Zoe said smirking, followed by Louise.
'No.' I laughed.
'Well the nurse said you can all go home in the morning, just to be careful and that.' Zoe explained happily.
'Really? That's great!' Caspar said, with a grin.
'Wait what time is it?' I asked, confused.
'8:15 at night.' Zoe told me, checking her phone. 'Actually I think we should go home, it's already past visiting hours but they were lenient.'
'Oh okay.' I had managed to lose all track of time.
'See you later Broseph.' Zoe smiled, giving me a quick hug followed by Louise waving bye.
Caspar turned to leave, pushing himself towards the door.
'Caspar wait.' I said.
'Yeah?' He asked.
'Stay with me?' I asked. 'Here, stay with me.'
'Where will I sleep?' He questioned, looking around the room.
'Theres a guest bed but..I want you to stay with me, in this bed?' I suggested, smiling slightly.
'Okay.' He grinned. 'Is it allowed?'
'It'll be fine.' I told him as he pushed himself up out of the wheelchair and slowly crept into the bed.
He lay down facing me, I could feel his warm breath tickling my skin.
'Hey.' I whispered.
'Hey.' He replied.
We held each other tightly, as if one us let go...we'd tumble into a black hole and never stop falling because we couldn't be without one another.
I never want to let go.
