1 week later.

"Papa! Open the door! Someone is pressing the doorbell continuously." Siya yelled.

"What's your problem?! We don't want a washing machine—Adi?"  I smiled at her, her face was smeared with flour and her right hand was covered with wet flour. She hid her hand behind her frantically out of embarrassment.

"Y-you? I am sorry I thought—

"Don't worry, I didn't mind. I came here to meet Mr. Verma. Can you please call him?" I said with a smile, she nodded and invited me inside the house.

"Papa, Adi is here to see you." She said and went inside the kitchen.

"Adi Beta, how come you are here? Anything important?" Mr. Verma entered the living room.

"Yes, Mr. Verma, you weren't answering your phone so dad sent me here to inform you about glitches in the in CCTVs, and since you have keys of the footage room...he wants you to come—

"Wait for me, I will be back in 5 minutes." He interrupted.

"Okay, Sir," I replied.

"Papa today's your day off—

"It's urgent, Siya. Bring my keys from that drawer, dear." I heard his footsteps coming closer.

"Adi, can you do me a favor?" He asked adjusting his Bluetooth.

"Of course, Sir."

"Can you drop, Siya to her college?"

"Sure Sir," I nodded.

"Dad I can go by myself I don't need—

"Adi will drop you to your college." He said sternly, interrupting her.

"Where's your car?" She came outside, holding some books and her purse in her hand.

"I didn't come here by car," I replied.

"Then? You took an auto?" She asked, placing her dupatta on her shoulder.

"Nope, I came here by my bike—

"Bike?!" She interrupted me widening her eyes.

"Yeah, why? Are you afraid?" I was a little confused by her reaction.

"N-never...I and afraid...not possible!" She laughed nervously.

"Okay then, hop on!" I smiled when she nervously sat behind me.

"Hold on tight, or else you will fall," I said.
She immediately held me by my shoulder before I drove her to the college, we reached there and parked my bike in front of the college gate.

"Thank you," She said.

"Siya, please wait." I held her wrist.

"What?" She eyed my hand.

"I—

"Siya, good morning." A guy waved.

"Salil!--Good  Morning." She removed my hand and between me and him.

"How are y—who's he?" He gestured to me, with a skeptical look.

"He works at the palace with my dad. Adi, aren't you getting late for work?" She asked looking at me.

"Umm yeah, I should get going, bye," I replied exchanging a glance with her.

I looked at Salil curiously as he looked familiar to me. 'Where have I seen him?!' I sneakily clicked his picture with my phone before heading back to the work.
