Siya's pov.

Today is a life-changing day, for worse or for better...My wedding is in about a few hrs and I am so worried. Tia is thinking that its wedding jitters but quite the opposite.

"Isn't she looking so breathtakingly beautiful?!" Tia gushed.

"Yes, di looks so gorgeous!" Lily said.

"What are you thinking?!" Tia tabbed my shoulder to grab my attention.

'I am thinking about the letter!' I smiled nervously as I glanced at her.

"I am just nervous about this wedding.." I said.
She looked at me studiously and then she shooed away all the girls out of the room.

"What's the matter, Siya? Don't you dare to hide it!" She pointed her finger at me.

'Shit! I can't hide this from her.' I stood from my seat and grabbed the letter from the drawer and handed her. For sec she looked at me then started reading the letter.

"Dearest Siya, I don't know how to tell you this but here's it goes. This afternoon I received an urgent call regarding the case I was working on for almost 5 months and now I am very close to finishing it... it is the only reason I came here in the first place. Working at the palace and lying about my resignation from my job as a detective, was all part of this case. If tomorrow I don't show up for the wedding don't think I don't love you or otherwise...this a dangerous case..if something happens to me always know I love you! Please be patient... I promise you that I will be there tomorrow...I wouldn't miss it! Just have faith in me...
And please call me as soon as you get this letter.
Until we meet,
Love, Adi." Tia looked at me after finishing the letter.

"Did you call him?"
"Umm Yes..." I nodded.

"What did he say?!" She asked frantically.

"Well...when I called him..he said that he loves me and will explain once he returns...which is today, as he promised. He sounded worried..and for that matter, he was also relieved too."

"How long were you planning to hide it from me?! Wait! Did you tell your dad?!" Her eyes widened in realization when I didn't say anything.

"I am gonna slap that guy if his action hurts you or uncle!" I knew she's dead serious right now that's why I did dare to speak anything to calm her down.

"Tia...please bring Siya to the wedding atrium the baraat has arrived!" Tia's mom called from the other side of the door. Tia sighed and glanced at me with worrying eyes.

"I am sorry I didn't tell you earlier—
She cut me off by wrapping me in a warm hug.

"Just know, whatever happens, we are together in this! I will be by your side and if he didn't show on time then  I am gonna kill him!" She shrieked angrily.

"Thank you, Tia!" I smiled at her.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Y-Yes," I replied and we both went downstairs.

"Where's the groom?"

"Umm, he will be here shortly...just-

"If Yash says he will be here then he will be. Now please enjoy yourself." My dad stood by Yash uncle.

As time passed by everyone grew curious and started to gossip about the possibility of him running from his own wedding. Every now and then Tia glanced at me while cupping my hand reassuringly.

I returned her gaze with a smile.
No matter what people were saying but the only voice I was hearing was my heart that I trust him and wait for him.
